Chapter 10 (Part III)

Dr. Austin was still sitting on the chair when a person announced that the gate is now open. Immediately, she stood up and ran towards to crowd, which already doubled up without her knowledge and was screaming.
She was about to encounter her first opponent when she heard a loud bang and saw that a buggy had crashed. A man was holding on to a person and punched him shortly after. Dr. Austin didn’t waste time gawking at the scene. Instead, she proceeded to push through the crowd.
Without any notice, a man came into her view and grabbed her shoulders. The man tossed her sideways, and she fell onto her sides. Some random people started to beat her as well and she gave a scream that could have ripped her throat out. To shut her up, the man who tossed her punched her once in the stomach and once between her eyes. Immediately, she passed out.
Dr. Austin heard someone shouting in the distance, and then noises of someone being beaten up. A little later, she thought that she was being dragged on the floor before being lifted up. The person carrying her was running now, stopped for a while and then continued running again. As time passed on, the person carrying her slowed down to a walk. She also sensed a high-pitched hum.
Suddenly, soft material like a bed hit her back, and she lay there, unconscious.
