Chapter 16
Tom's POV:
Nine days.
It's been nine days since that wretched girl died. Nine days since her funeral. Nine days since Cindria left her room. Nine days since I've made my Horcrux and became immortal.
I'd say everything turned out okay, minus the fact that Cindria hasn't come out of her room ever since it happened. Right now, I carried a bowl of chicken soup up to the girl's dormitory for her.
I pushed open the door for the 6th years girls room and walked in. It was empty of the other girls as I made my way over towards Cindria's bed. I rested the soup on the table and sat down on the bed, right beside the huddled figure who occupied the bed.
"Cindria, I brought you soup, please get up and eat," I said while nudging her shoulder.
She didn't move.
I lifted the covers and was met with the sight of a curtain of black hair covering the face of the girl I loved. I moved the hair from her face and rested my hand on her cheek, it was wet.
A twinge of guilt shot through my heart but I pressed it down, I hated how Cindria was acting this way over a worthless mudblood! She shouldn't have to waste her precious tears on someone so damn worthless!
It honestly hurt a lot when she wouldn't reply to me, and I'd worry for a second that she figured out it was me who killed her but I'd soon press that matter away.
I just wanted Cindria to love me and never leave me.
I was jealous that she spent most of the time with that girl.
I only wanted her to be dependent on me.
Do I regret killing that mudblood? By all means no.
Do I hate it that it's made Cindria depressed? Of course.
I turned her body towards me and moved her hair out of her eyes. Her blue eyes stared back at me, almost lifeless.
"Tom...it hurts so much," She whispered, her eyes tearing up even more.
I leaned down and pressed my lips to her soft ones for half a minute before resting my head on her forehead.
"I know, love, I know, but it'll only hurt for a little while and then it'll be alright," I whispered, helping her sit up. I grabbed the bowl of soup and lifted up the spoon to her mouth. She looked at it for a second before turning away.
"I'm not hungry, Tom, but thank you anyway," She whispered, resting her forehead on her knees, blocking her face from my view.
"You haven't eaten since yesterday, and you hardly ate then. Please, Cindria, I don't want to lose you," I mumbled out while gripping the spoon tightly.
She lifted her head, looked over at me, and hesitantly opened her mouth. I fed her for a little while before she turned her head away from me, I decided that it was enough, she had eaten half of the bowl. I could feed her the rest later.
I placed the bowl on the table and took her into my arms. She rested her forehead onto my chest and I knew she was on the verge of crying again.
"If you want to cry then go ahead, I'll still be here when you're done," I whispered into her ear.
I could hear her whimpers and I could feel my shirt getting slightly wet. But it didn't matter, all that mattered was that Cindria was here with me and I would never let her go.

One and a Half Week Later:
Tom's POV:
I would say Cindria was getting better, the color of her cheeks was returning and just yesterday she headed to class with me by her side. People whispered and stared, but stopped once I tossed them a glare or two.
Cindria was more attached to me than ever and I couldn't help but applaud myself for getting rid of that mudblood and having Cindria cling to me more. In the daytime, she would be latched to my arm and at night she'd be curled to my side, clutching at my shirt not wanting to let go.
It was obvious she was afraid of losing me too. But she had nothing to fear; I was immortal and soon so would she.
Though I was going to have to find another way to gain immortality for her.
Cindria wouldn't kill somebody even if her life depended on it.
An issue had risen up on when I asked the headmaster if it was possible to allow Cindria stay in Hogwarts with me in the summer. The headmaster had sighed and broken the news down that Hogwarts might be shut down because of the paralyzing of students and the killing of that mudblood girl, and it would only remain open if they found the culprit.
I couldn't just turn myself in; I'd probably be sent to Azkaban. But I found a solution to my problem, one that involves a giant Gryffindor oaf named Rubeus Hagrid, who was acting suspiciously. I finally followed him down to the dungeons and found out that he was breeding a wild huge monstrous spider.
My plan was perfect; I'd tell the headmaster of that oaf's doing and Hogwarts wouldn't be shut down.
Currently, I was in the Slytherin Common room with Cindria, who seemed to be falling asleep on my shoulder. I shook her awake, not wanting to, but if I wanted to be able to secure the opening of Hogwarts next year, then I'd have to sacrifice this one moment with Cindria.
She opened her tired looking eyes; her gaze shifting to my face with a confused expression.
"I'm sorry, was my head too heavy?" She asked, shifting upwards and instead of leaning on me, she rested the back of her head on the black couches of the Common room.
"Not at all, but I have to go talk to the headmaster real quick, alright?" I told her, packing up my things and putting them in my bag.
Cindria grabbed a fistful of my robe and her expression turned into a fearful one. I quickly smiled, hoping to ease her out of her worries.
"I'll be back soon," I told her as I stood up.
Cindria immediately stood up, alongside me, still gripping my robe in her small fist. Her breathing was quickening and I frowned, hoping she wasn't going to suffer from some panic attack.
"Can't I come with?" She asked pleadingly, and I was almost tempted to say yes before stopping myself.
I grabbed her fist and pressed it against my lips, kissing it quickly before interlacing my fingers with her own.
"I'm sorry, no, but I promise I won't take long, you can go ahead and head to my room, alright?"
She stood silently for a second before nodding and her eyes began to water.
"Am I becoming a bother, Tom?"
"Of course not, I just have private business with the Headmaster and I'll explain it to you once I get back, okay?"
"Okay. You will come back, yes?"
"Of course."
I watched her slowly walk up the boy's dormitory stairs and when I couldn't see or hear her anymore, I headed towards the exit and made my way towards the Headmaster's office.
Once I reached his office and entered, I explained to the headmaster about my findings. The headmaster then went ahead with two teachers to see if what I said was true. He returned 30 minutes later with a dark expression on his face, and Dumbledore following after him.
"Well, it's as you say, Tom, it's thanks to you that we were able to find the source of all of this," Headmaster Dippet said, sitting down at his table tiredly. "You will be rewarded for your service. Thank you, Mr. Riddle, you're dismissed."
I stood up from my place, nodded my head and walked to the door. I could see from the corner of my eyes Dumbledore eying me but I didn't give it much thought. The school should remain open now that they thought it was Hagrid.
I made my way down the halls and I watched as many professors make their way to the headmaster's office. I finally reached the Uncommon room and I headed up the stairs to where I knew Cindria was waiting.
I opened the door and my eyes immediately fell on a small body that was curled up on my bed. I smiled a little when I saw her scrunch up her face a bit before relaxing her tense body. I sat down beside her body and shook her awake, her eyes slowly opened and looked up to meet mine.
She sat up straight and wrapped her arms around my torso, pushing her face into my chest.
"I'm sorry I took so long," I whispered into her ear, hugging her back. "But guess what happened?"
"What? What happened?" Cindria asked, looking up at me in curiosity.
"They found out who killed Warren," I told her slowly, knowing the topic of that girl was still sensitive to her.
"They did? Who was it? What was it? Did they catch it?" she rambled question after question.
"It was a Gryffindor named Hagrid, he was growing these huge creatures down in the dungeon, I found out about them and told the Headmaster. They should have caught him by now," I told her, running my hands through her hair.
Cindria nodded her head slowly before resting it on my chest, soon I felt her breathing become light and I knew that she was asleep.
