Chapter 18
I opened the doors of my home with a smile on my face and closed the door gently behind me. The beautiful large marble hall was filled with wizards and witches all dressed in black and had wicked grins implanted on their faces.
"The dark lord is brilliant, we shall commence with his plans and hopefully one day the world will be purged of those filthy muggles!" cackled one lady to her group. They all cheered and began to laugh with her as if she told the funniest joke created in the nation.
The double doors of the meeting room opened, and I could see Tom exiting the room, alongside him were his most trusted companions; Malfoy, Lestrange, Crabbe, Goyle, Nott, Blaise, and a bunch of other wizards and witches I didn't know the names of.
I was shoved from behind and saw someone dart towards Tom in a hurried pace, he stopped in front of him, bowed and then whispered something to him.
Tom's eyes flashed into the color red before returning back to its normal color, his gaze then slid to my own and he began to make his way towards me. The wizards and witches that were once in his way, cleared a path for him to walk and praised him in loud voices that echoed in the room.
Tom stopped in front of me, his eyes narrowing down on my face, and he gently placed his mouth next to my ear.
"I suppose you have something to tell me?" he asked, his voice void of any kind of emotion.
I slowly nodded my head and he moved away from me before grabbing my hand and leading me away from the crowd. Once we reached our room, he locked the door and took a seat on one of the leather couches.
I began to take off my jacket and pulled my hair out of its long ponytail.
"Don't come through that door, I don't want you interacting with the people down there, understand?" Tom said, watching me with his hooded eyes.
I nodded my head in understanding, my mind itching to ask about what that woman had meant down below, but I held my tongue because I knew Tom wasn't done speaking.
"Who did you meet today, Cindria?" Tom asked, after sitting quietly for a few seconds.
"How did you know I met someone?" I asked, raising my eyebrows in surprise.
"I asked you a question, Cindria, who did you meet today?" Tom said coldly, rising from the couch he sat on. I stood still and watched as he moved closer until he stopped a few inches away from me and I was forced to look up at him.
I sighed and turned away from him, taking off my shoes and sitting on the bed.
"I met Caleb today, we ran into each other. We only drank tea and talked," I answered him, not looking in his direction. I could hear his footsteps coming towards me and hoped for a second that he wouldn't be angry.
Tom stood in front of, his arms crossed. He stood silently before crouching in front of me and taking my hands in his large ones.
"Did he mention me?"
"He just asked if I was still with you, but I talked about you, and all the places we went after Hogwarts," I replied, my hands growing even colder from Tom's touch.
Tom was always so cold.
We sat there in silence before Tom sighed and looked back up at me.
"Will you listen to me this time if I asked you not to meet him?" he asked, moving to sit on the bed beside me.
"Only if you had a valid reason, but I won't sneak around to go meet him, I learned my lesson," I said, smiling softly.
Tom laid down on the bed, his legs draped on the side of the bed.
"I just wished you wouldn't give attention to other people," Tom muttered, placing his arm over his eyes.
"I'm going to care about other people, Tom, but you'll still be my most favorite person," I said while running my hand through his soft brown hair.
"And you'll be mine," Tom answered, removing his arm from his sight to glance over at me and give me a quick grin.
