The room we entered was vintage and had that old sort of vibe, the lights were a dimmed orange and the walls were a brown to amber colour and the smell of mould burnt the back of my throat which by the look on Noah’s face, he smelt it too. The man sitting in the chair had glasses and grey hair with only a few wrinkles on this face which made him look like he was in his 50’s. He was reading something which looked a bit like a blueprint of something I just couldn’t figure out. I always wanted to do that sort of stuff when I grew up. Making buildings and looking at the functions of what would be in it and the things that the building could me made into. Like an architect. The way he sat showed us that he was the superior in the building. It was like he owned everyone and everything and if you don’t abide by his rules there would be consequences. “ Hello. “ The man’s voice was deep and slightly familiar. “ How can i help you Jo? “ He didn’t look up from the papers that were held in front of him. “ These 2 with their dog were waiting outside the gate. They say they are immune. “ After this the man’s eyes darted between me and Noah with a look of amusement and a sort of satisfaction he spoke again, “ Immune? Can’t say I've heard anything like it “ That was a lie. “ You might be very valuable to our community and help us overcome this virus. I think that these kids should be shown the best rooms here and give them the best treatment. I want them to be comfortable and safe, “ Before leaving the room I had one question to ask. “ What’s your name? “ I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around waiting for this man that we should not trust one single bit to answer this simple survey I had in mind. “ Umm, Robert. “ answering with uncertainty I remembered who he was. “ The funny thing is ‘ Robert ‘ I don't think that’s your name at all. I think that your name is actually Professor M Sanderson. You know, the person who got put in jail for killing all those scientists in your lab on August 29th. What was it with again? “ The words slithered out my mouth and I couldn't stop. It was like I was there but something possessed me to say those things. Michael’s face was speechless, just the approach I was going for. “ So i suggest that if you come anywhere near me, Noah or Buddy, I swear you won’t be here to see sunrise. Without any reply I walked out of the door and followed Jo with my 2 friends by my side. “ I can’t believe you did that! “ Noah walked beside me and held in his laughter about the conversation that had just happened. “ I got to admit I wouldn't have the guts to talk to a serial killer like that. “
“ You’re telling me, it was like i couldn’t stop talking, and i really doubt he is a serial killer. I just think of him more as…. A psychotic killer. “
“ Well same thing if you add a little bit of context on the end. “
“ Oh shut up “ I chuckled. He was kind of right though but I liked the way mine sounded more. ‘ WOOF! ‘ The large dog barked as we walked by a load of containers with cacophony coming from inside them. “ Do you think…? “
“ Well yeah, Buddy barks when there is one nearby and this camp is controlled by a psychotic freak so who knows how many he is keeping inside of these walls? “
“ We’re here. “ Jo exclaimed, “ Welcome to your new home. “
