CHAPTER THREE: UNANSWERED QUESTIONS

Evalina sat with her mother, Yvonne, in their modest home, her mind swirling with questions about the mysterious mark on her neck. "Mom, the mark on my neck, who gave it to me?" Evalina asked, her tone tinged with frustration. Yvonne's response was guarded, "Why do you ask?"

"Because when I almost got kidnapped, I felt a pain there and it started emanating blue light, and I don't know why," Evalina explained, her voice trembling with emotion. Yvonne's concern grew as she listened, "Almost kidnapped?"

"Yes, but I was saved by a guy who was passing by," Evalina replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "Did they see the light?" she asked, her frustration evident. Yvonne paused for a moment before replying, "I don't think so."

Unable to extract more information from her mother, Evalina was left feeling frustrated and confused. That night, both Evalina and Jason found sleep elusive, their minds consumed by unanswered questions.

The next morning, Evalina headed to work early due to the restaurant's reopening, while Jason decided to take a ride, hoping to come into contact with the mysterious girl he had encountered the night before. "I will be back very soon," Jason assured his sister, Diana, before setting out on his mission.

Meanwhile, at the restaurant, the preparations were in full swing, with the waitresses attending to the arriving guests. Evalina, carrying a tray with drinks, inadvertently collided with Jason, spilling the contents of the tray onto his clothes. The noise and commotion drew the attention of everyone present.

As Evalina apologized profusely, she noticed a change in Jason's eyes, which suddenly turned red. Fear gripped her as she stared into his eyes, uncertain of what was happening. However, Jason remained still, his gaze fixed on Evalina, until his eyes returned to normal.

Left bewildered by the encounter, Evalina fled from the scene, leaving Jason standing amidst the chaos. Aidan quickly intervened to clean up the mess, while Evalina sought refuge in the storeroom, her heart pounding with fear and confusion.

Meanwhile, back at home, Jason questioned his mother Jeiel, about his father's whereabouts, only to learn that he had received an important message and would be away for a week. Jason's mind raced with thoughts about what could be so important that his father hadn't even informed him before leaving.

As the events of the day unfolded, both Evalina and Jason found themselves grappling with unanswered questions and unexpected encounters, setting the stage for what lay ahead in their intertwined destinies.
