Chapter 39
Seeing himself surrounded by foes, Odin’s heir summoned the lightning down from the heavens once more. As electricity encased his body, Thor brought the mighty Mjolnir down against the ground creating a shock wave of blinding energy that radiated outward in all directions. The electricity fried the roots from off his feet. The force of the blast sent Hammerhand, the shape-shifters and Morgan flying in all directions as the impact threw dirt and stone out in a ring with a deafening boom. As the shockwave expanded outward in a dome of sizzling static, it caught Gabriel and Raphael in its wake and threw them back with electricity surging around their bodies and weapons. A small crater was left smoking around the Lord of Thunder. White light continued to radiate outward from Thor’s wounds.
