XANDER'S POV
I told her to come back inside with me because I didn't want anyone accidentally seeing what I had to show her and while that was true, that was not the only reason. It's true that I would rather show her inside because it'll be safe and private, but also partly because I wanted to use the time we spend walking back to prepare myself. I hadn't meant to lash out on her like I did earlier; I swear I hadn't. I was just too tense and worked up from the whole situation and the secrets I'd been struggling to explain to her that I ended up losing control of my emotions for a moment there.
