"What do you mean? What do you mean 'So,' Gunner? She___"
"__Has every right to move on with her life, Lucien. She owes you nothing. Absolutely nothing at all."
Gunner cut him off, causing him to shake his head in disbelief.
"What are you talking about, Gunner? That is wrong, you know it is! She's my mate!" Lucien yelled angrily, and Gunner slowly shook his head.
"No, you're wrong, Lucien. She WAS your mate. The same one you stabbed with an Ereden dagger and left to rot to death."
"I made a mistake!" Lucien yelled in frustration, and Gunner shrugged carelessly.
"Doesn't matter. In the end, you brought this upon yourself, so do me a favor and leave me out of it, would you? Thanks, son."
