Alexander entered the room inside which Isabella was lying on the bed in Nicholas’s mansion.
Just as she heard the door opening, Isabella immediately got up and turned to look at the door.
She felt anxious to see who might have entered inside her room at that hour of the night but she was relieved to see that it was only Alex.
She breathed on relief and Alex could tell that his sudden entrance in the room had made her anxious.
“I am sorry to startle you.” Alex apologized and Isabella shrugged at him.
“I would’ve been sorry, if I had hit you with something sharp.” Isabella rolled back on her bed and moved sideways, making some space for Alex, who didn’t come in to the room to wake her up but seeing her move sideways, he took it as a signal that she wanted him to stay.
