“We asked you something!” Nicholas shook up the woman with his high commanding tone and Laura held herself back for a second but at the same time she also knew that there was no other way for her to get safely out of that cursed Mayor’s office.
“Fine! But whatever the consequences would be of the actions that she would take, after she would learn the truth, would be on all of you and not me!” Laura shrugged the guilt off of her and finally decided to expose the truth.
