Alexander was stunned, waiting for Isabella to say what he had been dying to know about her decision.
She simply sighed and stepped back, creating a slight distance between each other.
“Alex, I have known you for the past three years and I know you might be a lot of things but what I really know about you is that you are a man of your words and once you make a promise, you intend to keep it. So, when you said that you will change, I know you will but Alex... I can’t get back with you based on an assumption and then again live those three years of my life that I regret living.”
Alexander wanted to assure Isabella that he was not going to make her go through the same hell that he gave her previously but he also knew that pushing Isabella would only make her pull herself far away from him.
