“It’s okay Shinbe… we are okay.” She smiled gently even though it was hard to do.
“Did you see the man that… killed you?” Shinbe’s voice hitched with the question.
Kyoko nodded hesitantly, somehow knowing Hyakuhei hadn’t meant to kill her. “When I was dreaming of Tama… he was sometimes in the background… and I’ve seen him outside the dream… he touched my hand.” She frowned at the memory of them in the mall.
She glanced up at Shinbe again as she remembered the feeling that would come over her every time she noticed Hyakuhei. “But he saved Tama’s life and has taken care of him so he could give my brother back to me. I still don’t think he wants to hurt me.”
