Chapter 6They had not spoken in almost six months. Angela had no idea what Elizabeth would do if she were actually home, whether she might just peek around the door, see who was there, then duck back into her apartment. That seemed likely. She thought though, that perhaps just enough time had passed without any contact at all that Elizabeth might miss her. In a cavernous space deep within Angela, some flame existed that had not been snuffed out by addiction, disappointment, or existential crisis. Despite everything that had happened in her romantic life up until that very moment, somehow a belief in true love still prevailed, and beneath all the rubble of her desperate attempts to fill an aching void, pure love did, in fact, exist. She did not know if that truth would ultimately be claimed
