"Aiden? AIDEN!" I shouted as I watched him on the ground. Gosh this boy gets so reckless because of a women.
"What happened?" I questioned as I kneeled in the road near my brother, who was sobbing, tears rushing down his face.
"He's drunk" A deep voice said, I looked over to the owner of that voice. Leaning over the street chandelier was Mason, lighting up his cigarette allowing me to see a glimpse of his face from the dim light of the lighter flame.
"He saw her didn't he?" I questioned making Mason nod while exhaling the smoke into the air.
"Gosh Aiden... you need to grow up and forget her" I mumbled watching my brother's miserable state
"She is so pretty! I need her! " he exclaimed between cries
"What about Giovanna?" I asked recalling the girl he asked me to invite for the party
"I don't understand half of what she says... and she isn't Regina"
"You need to find someone better than Regina" I told him
"How can I find someone as beautiful as her?"
"We will find you someone better " I affirmed
"You can't "
"Tell me about her maybe we can find someone with better qualities" I asked my brother "from what I know it definitely won't be that hard"
"She was beautifull" he mumbled "She was very pretty, she was stunning... she is"
"Was that her only quality?" I asked ready to punch him in the face
"Pretty much" I heard Mason say. I rolled my eyes and I slapped my brother on his arm
"Ouch" he flinched "what was that for?"
"Get a grip of yourself, you spent almost a year with her and the only thing she was too you was beautiful?"
"She also f****d really well" he pouted making me slap him again, and I heard Mason chuckle form far away at my slaps.
"You're a disgrace!" I said standing up "I can't believe I ditched a guy on your drunk and suptid ass"
"You ditched a guy? What you mean?" my drunk brother asked intrigued
"I am about to unditch him"
"Who is he?" my brother questioned again trying to stand up "Did he touched you? What did he do?"
I rolled my eyes at his exaggerated worry "None of your business"
"You have to, otherwise I am telling mom"
"You ain't telling mom s**t, if you do I'll tell her about your drunk ass on the middle of the road" I exclaimed hearing a soft chuckle from Mason. I guess he was having fun watching me and my brother fight.
"You wouldn't "
"Wanna bet?" I dared
"I am just being protective. Guys your age just want one thing...to f**k" He commented
"My age? What about your age?" I gave an ironic laugh, a one year and a half gap really is life changing to my brother
"Ok touché" he nodded "I don't want you to get hurt"
"Not all guys are like you and your friends..." I responded looking slightly at Mason and I could only see his smirk being lighted by the cigarrete tip
"Most of them are-"
"But not all... " I said "Have fun you two" I waved walking away to the party . Let's finally talk to my crush and shoot my shot!
- Monday 12:30 AM -
"I can't still believe after all these years you finally talked with Chase" Emily smiled as we walked out of the class and got in the cafeteria
"Thanks to me!" Nate exclaimed
"I am so happy for you!" Amy hugged me
"Thanks Amy" I smiled "I am also happy for you I saw the pictures" I commented referring the viral pictures of her kissing Pete, a Junior, friend of Chase.
"Oh that" she smirked "I was having fun... he is cute though"
"If you keep like this I am afraid Wellington is giving up on being your butler" Selena commented
"As he should. Poor guy" Nate said making us laugh. We entered the cafeteria, took our food and sat at the usual table, two tables far away from my brother's loud one.
We were having a very relaxed lunch when a blonde girl interrupts our peace, Regina Adams and her friend Cady Jones.
"Hello Alyssa..." she smiled at me sweetly, for some reason she thought we were friends, she would always say that I was like a little sister to her and although she changed school after the whole drama with my brother it looks like she still thinks I like her...which is something I never did. "I missed you sis! How are you?"
"Good" I simply said hoping she would leave
"You look beautiful, I went away for just one year and look at you!" she exclaimed
"Yeah..."
"Well I will see you around... we should hang out some time" she proposed stepping away while my friends faked a gag.
"I don't get it... why does she want to talk to you?" Amy questioned
"I would love to know too" I responded
"Please... it's obvious." Nate remarked while munching on his fries, we stood quietly looking at him waiting for him to explain "She clearly wants to get to your brother and you're her freeway to him"
"She cheated on him remember?" Amy recalled
"But eventually she realised what she lost and now she wants it back even if it's just for fun" Nate shrugged his shoulders while the rest of us analyzed Regina and Cady sitting down with the popular girls
"I don't believe it" Selena muttered
"He is hotter" Emily blurred out making me raise an eyebrow at her "What? I know he is your brother but he is still hot"
"Hotter, more popular... she needs to have some fun and your brother is her bait again" Nate told me, an overwhelming feeling reached my chest, if she dares to play around with my brother again she might be his death. He is still head over heels for her and I am afraid that if she simply smiles at him, he would be on her knees begging for her to return.
"That can't happen" I mumbled to myself
"Why ?" Amy questioned
"Cause he'll be a mess if it does..."
"At least he is a hot mess" Selena smirked looking behind my back
"Pleaseee...Don't you start again! You promised to not talk about how hot my brother was and his friends at lunch time" I reminded them
"Hot huh? I knew your friends had good taste" I heard an annoying voice behind me making me take a deep breath. "Hello girls... and Nate" My brother greeted the table making Nate blush
"I need to talk to you" he said making me turn around so I could see him
"You do? Can't it wait till I get home ?" I asked while he nodded a no with his head "what then?"
"What did she talk to you about?" he asked and I quickly realized that question meant Regina
"Wouldn't you like to know?" I smirked at him
"What did she say?"
"Anything around you... she just wanted to hang out with me" I told him the truth
"What does she want with you?"
"I dunno" I shrugged my shoulders
"Ok- let's make a house party Saturday. You have to invite her" he begged
"I hate parties at our house, people are messy and f**k everywhere."
"C'mon Alyssa! Let's help each other!"
"What do you mean help each other? What do you even have to offer me?"
"I won't tell about your fling"
"My fling?" I asked with a raised eyebrow
"You and that mysterious guy. I do not consent it but however I will let it pass"
"Since when do I need your permission?"
"You don't... "
"Then what's in it for me?"
" I won't tell mom about it" he said making me think, mom it's not really a worry she is pretty chill with dating and boys actually for the first year's she was always asking if Nathan wasn't my boyfriend, she desperately wants me to find a date since she realized Aiden wouldn't had a date any time soon.
"Not really a problem"
"I will tell Dad " he said making my heart right
"You wouldn't!" I said revolted
"I would"
"Argh fine! I will invite her" I rolled my eyes at him
"Cool! This weekend Mom and Dad are going on their date trip thingy we can make the party Saturday" he instructed
"Argh I hate parties at our house" I mumbled
"Oh don't forget to bring your friends... it's always good a pair of extra hands before the party to help out set everything"
"We will be there" Amy exclaimed with a big smile
"Great... see you Saturday" he said waving at my friends leaving them with dumb smile and heart eyes
" wake up!" I yelled snapping my fingers at them
"Right! So Saturday party at your house" Nate remarked happily
"Sure..." I commented with an unamused face, I can't believe I gave in to my brother for such a stupid thing. It's not like I date him, I just think he is cute and I talked to him and well that's it... well-
*PLIM*
I looked down at my phone once I heard the notification sound. Chase.
Chase and I having been talking since the party, we talk to each other when we walk past the other and we text a lot.
He even invited me to his favourite ice cream shop. I don't really know if that's a date or is just two friends hanging out and eating ice cream together. However, I will take it as a nice hang-out only that's what I am prepared for.
"So do you have a date with the surfer boy?" Nate questioned
"Humm I don't know..." I took a deep breath and looked at my friends " I am a bit unsure about him, he is like pretty popular to go out with me or date me"
"I hate it when you make yourself feel inferior" Emily told me holding my hand in support
"But you know what they say... " Nate started
"Stick to status quo" We all said in unison, and I had flashback of last year events
"I hate to feel this way too... but you know me. I never had a REAL REAL relationship since... you know... I am afraid he will just want to date me for being friend's with my brother" That's right that was one of my biggest insecurities not only I worked as my brother's and his friend's newspaper, I was also a good way to get into their popular group.
"You are being way too negative maybe he actually likes you" Emily reassured me
• Saturday Night, 9:58 pm •
"Should I put more glitter on the jelly shots?" Amy questioned Aiden
"I dunno... do whatever you want" Aiden shrugged his shoulders while placing the red cups over the ping pong table.
My parent's home looked pretty much like a sorority house, a flash of what this night was about to be made me cringe and also give me a breath of relief after recalling locking my room door.
"SHOULD WE START THE PARTY OR NOT?!" Cameron shouted entering through the door house with a keg over his shoulder
"You right, let's play something!" Aiden exclaimed turning on the columns and setting up a playlist. The loud noise from the music made me flinch.
"Let's start this party with shots!" Max said filling the small cups with tequila, Max was also a friend of my brother, they were all 'football pals' that lived parties literally they never missed a chance to party especially with the team captain. Don't ask me how Aiden is the team captain, I still haven't figured it out yet but it seems that he actually may be good at something which I find hard to believe.
We drank the shots and not long after people started to barge in and fill the house. My friends were already having the time of their life while I patiently waited for Chase, but my peaceful waiting was interrupted by my brothers friends.
"C'mon Alylili! Play with us!" Luke pouted
"No, thank you! I'm fine here" I said sipping the diet coke on my cup while waiting patiently on the soft couch
"Just a simple game" Cameron insisted
"I don't think so" I muttered
"Look at Mason! Even Mason wants you to play" Luke pointed at Mason who was leaned against the kitchen aisle with some girls next to him
"Yeah I can see it" I said analyzing Mason's face
"Oh you want it don't you, Mason?" Luke questioned caughting Mason attention
"What does it matter if I do?" he spoke in such a harsh manner like he was upset at something "she'll lose anyways" he said shrugging his shoulders and playing off a small smirk on his face while grabbing the ping pong ball.
I snorted at Mason's words, but I couldn't deny that his words kept replaying in my head.
"Don't say those things about Aiden's little sister dude!" Luke warned and before he could say anything I stood up from the comfy couch.
"I would like to play " I said looking at Luke, he gave me an excited smile and grabbed a ping-pong ball.
"Let's play!" he exclaimed giving small jumps of joy and organizing the red cups over the table so we could play and win this freaking game.
