I stood on the sidewalk outside the towering glass of Carton Industries, my breath hitching, rubbing my cold hands together but the temperature couldn’t reduce the thrill in my body.
I told myself I was here to witness the fall of my enemy, to record the look on Edric’s face when he realized he was nothing.
"You are seriously unbelievable," Rose exhaled, a mix of disappointment and awe in her voice as she held up her phone, ready to capture the fallout.
