This was one of the older Food Ink outlets. It still had the full-height glass wall that divided diners from the food preparation area. You could see the robot food printers spring to life as each order arrived. They even had the colorful decorations and animated faces that so appealed to me as a kid. My favorite robot was ‘Betty,’ who made the pizza dough and then shot it out at the precise force to make a perfect round base on the conveyor. And Food Ink was the first food chain that went fully to android staff, a novelty at the time.
The dining area had modern brightly painted walls but retained the old-fashioned brushed metal table tops with embedded screens.
