24 David “Your pills are ready,” Sarah announced. As she did at this time every morning. They were set out neatly in a row, all seven of them. The Zep was always the first in line. I pushed it to one side and took the remainder of the pills. I needed all my faculties for what was about to come. I did not raise the question of Sarah’s operating mode on the way home from the young people’s event yesterday.
