No music played, but we were like an old couple on the floor, so familiar with each other’s motions that no toes were crushed even though the steps were stilted. We took our cue from each other’s actions: set the bed to recliner mode, take the medications, wait ten minutes, lie flat, change diaper, recline again, up for toilet and shaving, clothes on, then to the table for breakfast.
