The State of Concord Coat of Arms dominated the back wall of the courtroom. The American and State flags were posted on either side. The bulkiness of a Holo chair stood out among the low profile of the rest of the courtroom furniture. Without these features, it could well have been one of the rooms we use for our Humans First meetings.

Matteo brought David in and took up the table to the right of the judge’s desk. We shifted across to be closer. I waved at David. He didn’t react. He sat expressionless, waiting.
