All the rest vigilantes began to laugh at Zander's excerpt from Mr. Anderson. Zander laughs back as he remembers one of the rules of being a vigilante, which is against being afraid of anything. "Hey!, Come on we don't have much time here it's almost dawn." Mr. Anderson calls out to all the men. Laurel still watching closely at the men as he follows them, preparing for the right time to attack. Not after, some moments later Zander hears sounds of footsteps coming closer behind him. He decided not to look back, thinking it was just his imagination playing tricks on him again. He tries to concentrate on the other vigilantes ahead of him and follows them so that he doesn't get lost in the hoods. Laurel walks closer and closer toward Zander, his footsteps got closer and more pronounced, so Zander starts to become afraid as he still tries to stay strong in order not to lose his job. He couldn't hold it in much longer, anymore, he turns back quickly to check out what was coming behind him. He noticed a very dark Person standing right between two trees, although it was almost dawn, the shadows of the tree won't let him see clearly what was there. He could see that it looks like a person, as he tries to call out to the person. Walking closer, Living the rest vigilantes, "H...hey, wh...who are you?." Zander muttered as he walks towards Laurel. Laurel noticed this curiosity and stands there because it will be easier to kill him without the others noticing. Zander away from the rest of the vigilantes focused more on what he was seeing. Zander, looks away backward at other vigilantes, trying to know how far behind he was. He looks back to the trees and found no one, he became confused and tries to look directly. Laurel walks towards Zander from behind, revealing his red eyes and long claws. He gnaws quietly as he tries to kill Zander. suddenly a loud gunshot was heard, distracting Zander. It was Mario, he hunt down and killed a deer. The men started cheering at Mario for the huge deer he caught. "This will give me quite a fortune, haha!!" Mario laughs. Zander. after understanding the reason for the gunshot, turns back to the trees and couldn't find anyone there again. He wondered, about who that might be. Then Mario waves and calls Zander to come to assist him in carrying the deer. The rest of the vigilantes watched them carried it and then they all started going out of the hoods. Mario noticed the look on Zander's face. " Hey, Tel me something Tam; what did you see, or heard this time?" "What did you mean, sir?" Mario giggles, "Let me guess, a ghost, or probably a werewolf or a vampire, coming out to get you, scary cat!!" Mario starts laughing, mocking Zander, as he understood what Mario was saying now, bends his head and kept walking. The rest of the also laughs too. Mr. Anderson refused to laugh, he suspects that Zander has truly seen something. They arrived at a truck right outside the hoods, they had left it there to go into the hoods last night. One of the men, opened the back of the truck so that Mario could put in the deer. They tried lifting it it was so heavy for Zander, as his mind wasn't totally on what he was doing, trying to understand what he saw, and why its eyes were red. He was afraid to tell anyone because he feels that no one would love him, and they would start making more jokes about him if he does. "Hey, men take it up, much higher, please. We haven't got much time." Mario shouts. "Hey! What's keeping you, scalawags slugging your ass back there?" Mr. Anderson yells from the driver's seat as he presses on the horn of the car repeatedly, looking back at Mario and Zander with the other guys back of the truck. "Get in already!..!!" Finally, the deer got into the back of the truck as Zander slammed close the door right behind it. "Alright let's go, sir" Mario stares at him giggling, understanding that Zander might have begun feeling vexed by is silly jokes that he made about him. They went ahead and entered the truck. Mr. Anderson starts the truck and it began moving. Laurel comes out from the hood behind them. He has been watching them all this while. He moves closely as he watches them leave until the car couldn't be seen from his distance. He feels angrier and desires to kill all of them. Seeing the touches guns on them and the way they were all dressed, looking exactly like the people that killed his family. Feeling that his revenge isn't far anymore. He walked back into the hoods, back to the spot he almost killed Zander, and bent down to pick up a necklace. Zander has dropped down unknowingly to him. Laurel raises it to his nose as he sniffs it. Now he can trace the people. He gnaws, got up, and kept walking towards the road, heading to the city, with hopes of finding them. Laurel arrived at the city. He saw so many unfamiliar things, people dressing differently from how they used to before the tragic night and his long sleep. He looks at the people moving and the vehicles too that they also used to move around and also the gadgets they use. He tries not to let his curious and weird looks be noticeable to the people around him so that they don't feel uncomfortable and tries to hurt him. He blends in walking straight following the rest of the people walking on the walkways, following the sent of Zander. Laurel comes across a pet store where he saw dogs of different breeds. They all stared at him and starts to bark. He walks closer to the glass walls of the store looking closely at the dogs his eyes turned red, making the dogs all stop to bark. The owner of the store, as he noticed what was going on, he just kept looking at laurel as laurel walks away. He couldn't speak, because he has never seen such before, he was surprised at how laurel made the dogs quiet by changing the color of his eyes. Carried away by his thoughts. He came back into reality and tried running after Laurel. He comes out of his store and looked around there was no sign of Laurel in the whole place. He goes back into his store. Laurel arrives at a staircase leading to the subway under the city. He follows it and goes into the subway, there he saw people standing and waiting for the train to pass, some walking, and also some people sitting on benches around the subway. He walks towards one of the benches that weren't occupied and sits down. A beggar was seating close to him but on the floor to his left. The beggar noticed how Laurels stares at the whole environment and how he moves, then said to him; "New in the part of the subway uh? It's okay, this part is dangerous though because some people come here all the time causing trouble. You see those men over there?" He says pointing at some policemen. "We call them 'Gun men'. They try to protect us and still oppress us because they have guns! And you see those other ones over there?" He points again to some men hiding behind a pillar in the subway as they try to steal things from people. "We call them the bad guys. They take whatever they want, forcefully or by any means necessary. But I pity them because they have no other means of survival. I also do have no means but here I am, begging for a piece of bread or dollar notes......"
