The hunter's daughter

After Reggie had gone through the gates Monica turned the security cameras back on. She waited until it was late at night before going to bed. The next morning her father hadn't returned and she hoped that he hadn't found Reggie. She decided to keep herself busy by cooking and cleaning. She was alone for the day and there was no sign that anyone was going to return. Monica was starting to wonder what was happening when she heard her father from the gates.

"That f***ing werewolf. It's not going to run back to its pack, it's not going to get help. Monica open up the gates won't open for me. Damn, electric wires are broken again" Max shouted.

Monica realised that it was her fault that the gates weren't working. She had shut off the system but had not reset the gates security system. She turned it back on and father drove through and towards the house.

"I don't know how that werewolf did it but he slipped past us and we found out that he had headed back to his pack. Hopefully the trap we set up will stop him from reaching them. He's not going to warn them and we will be ready for them, when they find out, we are the hunters" Max said shaken.

Monica could tell her father was keeping something secret. She hoped that it didn't have anything to do with Reggie. Max had never been worried about a pack of werewolves before. She had to find out what it was.

"Is there something wrong, daddy?" Monica asked him.

"No, nothing's wrong. We are going to have a new moon, soon" Max told her.

"What's wrong with that?" Monica wondered.

"The new moons are when werewolves are really aggressive. We must be ready; in case they attack" Max stated.

Monica still wasn't sure what that meant but was sure Reggie would be safe in his pack. If her father was worried that he had made it back to his pack, then Reggie was safe. It was Max's turn to have sleepless nights while Monica had sweet dreams. The night of the new moon was peaceful but the next night had the alarms starting to beep. Monica had her sleep disturbed by them. She was about to get up when she felt a hand covering her mouth.

"Shh, Monica, it's me Reggie. Do what I say, you won't get hurt. My pack is here and they want revenge. I won't let them hurt you but you must be my prisoner. Just let me take you in front of my leader, Alpha Ashley Cooper. He's my cousin, he's the Alpha that stole my brother's mate. I didn't want to go back to him or the pack because of that. but because of your father I had to. Now he wants revenge for everything your father has done. This is why you will have to be my prisoner; you might get killed if you don't submit to him" Reggie explained quietly to her.

Monica nodded. She could still hear the alarm going off and a fight breaking out. She started to cry.

"Don't cry, Monica. I promise you that you are safe with me. We will be leaving soon and we will be together" Reggie promised her.

Monica looked at him confused. She was his prisoner but she will be with him?

"Yes, as my prisoner I get to keep you with me. They might call it the spoils of war but I call it having my mate" Reggie smiled at her.

The fight had finished and the alarms were shut off. Reggie gently led Monica from her bedroom. He had to hold her tightly so it looked like he had captured her. He went to the front of the house where Monica saw her father being dragged away by a group of big men. They had been naked but were putting clothes on now that they were in human form. Monica saw her father being attacked by the biggest man. She wanted to run out there but Reggie held her back. She started to cry as she realised that it was the Alpha and he was ordering her father's execution.

The tall, huge man stood over Max Woodman. His angry eyes staring him down. He had claws extending out of his hands. He looked at Max with such hatred that it was affecting Max, who started to shake with fear.

"Max Woodsman, I am the Alpha of the harvest moon pack. I find you guilty of the crimes of kidnapping, torture, slavery, killing and dismembering werewolves from my pack. You have hunted us, attacked and trespassed on our lands. For your crimes you are sentenced to death" Alpha Ashley blasted his deep voice.

Monica shuddered as she saw her father try to face his enemy and proudly boast his crimes.

"I am a hunter of werewolves. I do not regret hunting your pack. I only regret I couldn't destroy it. Werewolves have no rights to pass off as human, you aren't. You never will be human. You are a curse on the human race, you shouldn't have rights to our lands. I will die knowing I did the right thing as a hunter. There will be others after me that will finish what I started" Max boasted.

Monica started to sob and Max heard her. He looked at her with concern.

"Monica, don't let them take you alive. They will turn you into thier w***e. Monica, don't forget your still a hunter. I tried to make you into the best werewolf hunter. You shouldn't be thier prisoner, did like me, with dignity" Max shouted to her.

"Enough talking. Max Woodsman you will die, now" alpha Ashley blasted him and with one strike from his claws, Max's throat was ripped open.

Monica cried as she saw her father's blood spill out and him dying at the Alpha's feet. Reggie held her close to him. He was relieved that Max was dead but sorry that Monica had to see it. The Alpha then turned towards Monica; he still wanted more revenge.

"Bring her here, she's the hunter's daughter" the Alpha commanded Reggie.

"She is my prisoner. She helped me escape. I wouldn't be alive without her help" Reggie protested.

The Alpha was annoyed at his disobedience and stomped over to Reggie and Monica.

"She's still a hunter. She could pick up where her father left off and start hunting us" the Alpha growled.

"She won't, I will keep an eye on her. She will learn to submit to me" Reggie promised.

"No, she will submit to me, now" the Alpha growled and turned Monica to face him.

Monica stood shaking and tried to look the Alpha in the eyes but saw yellow flames. She couldn't hold her stare and lowered her eyes.

"Do you submit to me, hunter's daughter?" the Alpha growled at her.

"Yes," she whispered but he heard her.
