Reggie didn't know if she could get him something to use for his escape. He was more determined to spend more time with Monica. She was deep in thought about what she could grab and smuggle to him before she was seperated from him, forever. Reggie interrupted her thoughts by turning her face and gazing into her eyes. "My mate, Monica, don't worry about helping me escape tonight. You can help me by kissing me, maybe it will help me heal faster with your kisses" Reggie suggested. Monica smiled at him and nodded. She knew it wouldn't really help him heal but she knew that it would help them both. She kissed him gently and enjoyed how she made him feel. She was careful not to touch any wounds and tried to warm him with her body. He was only wearing rags and he wasn't cold. "Aren't you cold?" she asked him. "No, I'm a werewolf, we don't get cold. Are you cold?" he wondered. "No, you are keeping me warm" Monica admitted. Reggie smiled at her. "I'll always keep you warm" he told her. She smiled back at him. They spent the rest of the night trying to stay awake and holding each other. They both fell asleep just before dawn but were woken up again as soon as the sun had risen. "Time to get up, there's a buyer coming for the werewolf. Your father wants to seperate you both before he arrives" one of the hunters yelled at them. He approached the cage with his electric cattle prod. Monica refused to leave Reggie's side. "Now girl, your father might not want to use this on you but I will. Time to say goodbye to your wolf boy" the hunter threatened them. Monica slowly walked out of the cage and tried to keep her eyes on Reggie. He looked like he was trying to be strong. He wanted her to remember his promise. He mouthed the words. "Remember my promise. I will come back for you" he said silently. "I will. I love you, Reggie" Monica mouthed back. She was taken outside the cells and was trying to find a tool or a key to grab. She couldn't see any space for keys of tools. There wasn't any cupboards or shelves of anything she could use. She was bought to her father and he looked at her in disgust. "Well, I will have to keep you locked up and away from werewolves. I plan on leaving as soon as I get a buyer for that thing that fooled you. Perhaps you will be punished by watching him leave for his new home. He will have a worse place to live than you will but you still will be unhappy" Max informed Monica. Monica said nothing. She knew she couldn't get her father to change her mind. She did notice that Max had his keychain on his belt. She tried to look scared as she went closer to him. Max looked at her like he didn't know to hit her or push her away. Monica stood silently by his side while he waited for the buyer. She tried to sneak closer to the keychain. She knew the key for the shackles. The hunters came up to Max and looked like they were going to buy the werewolf cheaply. Max wasn't interested. "Max, you know you're not going to get much more than a thousand dollars. After losing all that money on the fights, no one wants to buy a werewolf that fooled your daughter" the hunter told Max. "Leave my daughter out of it. She had been fooled but the werewolf is still young enough to be trained for a real death match. He should be worth more than a thousand dollars" Max shouted at him. "Why don't you keep him then, train him somewhere away from your daughter. You could then ask for more money" the hunter suggested. "And where would that be, Alfred?" Max wondered. " How about your neighbours hunters, maybe they have space to put him there' Alfred suggested. "Well, I could ask Devin Sawyer, he might have some space for the werewolf" Max answered. "That's a good idea, Max. Sawyer is a good hunter and had been able to capture a few werewolves for the death arena" Alfred stated. "Thanks, Alfred. I'll give him a call and set up a time for him to pick up the werewolf. I'll be going as soon as he lets me know about an arrangement" Max informed him. "Well, if I don't see you again before you go, I'll catch you next time" Alfred said smiling. "See you then, Alfred" Max said and grinned back. Max looked at his daughter and became angry again. She was still trying to sneak the key away. "Trying to act sorry isn't going to stop you from being punished. I'm still keeping you away from the werewolf" Max told Monica. Max took her to the truck and then tried to ring Devin. He didn't answer his phone do Max left a message. He looked at Monica who was still trying to grab the key. Max thought she was going to beg him to bring the werewolf back with him. He didn't want to drive 2 and a half hours back home then turn around and come back for the werewolf. That would be over 7 and a half hours of driving. "I think I will bring the werewolf to Devin's place. That should save some hours of driving. Don't think that I am doing this for you, Monica. You can look at me with those sad eyes, all you want, you are still going to be punished. Stay here, in the truck. You won't go near the werewolf while I bring him back here" Max shouted at her. Monica shook her head. She could see the keys and was going to grab them. Max left her locked up in the truck while he went to get Reggie. Monica took the key for the shackles then hid it, she placed back her father's keys. She waited for her father to come back with Reggie. She heard him swearing at Reggie and was trying to keep up with him as he almost ran to the truck. "Don't think that I'm going to let you see Monica. You are going to another hunter's place where they will torture you. I'm going to take you there now. So, get into the truck and don't say a f***ing thing" Max yelled at Reggie.
