The First Day

It was her first day and she was wearing a lovely white saree, all ready for her first outing with her husband.
How foreign it felt to be known as Shivanya Dev Shukla, though she was still SSR in office.
She remembered the little moment in the room and blushed

That morning
In DEVANYA's Room
7:30 am
Shivanya woke up first as per her daily timing.
At first she was surprised to see her surroundings, but later she had remembered that she was married. Another house. More responsibilities. New family. And the most important thing, a husband.
As she was thinking all this, Dev squirmed in his sleep. She saw the time and decided to wake him up as they had to go to the temple.
Shivanya: Dev... Dev. Wake up. We have to go. Wake up.
As he still did not wake up, she slightly shook him, making him move a bit and well.... sleep again....
She had no other option, so she shook him as hard as she could and he held her hand in panic while waking up and falling off the bed, this resulting in him on the floor and she on top of him.....
Their eyes locked. They stayed in that position for a while, until a door knock rudely disturbed them. It was Vineeta.
Shivanya got up from above him and moved to open the door, with a cute blush on her face.
Vineeta: Good morning beta. I had come to wake to you guys up. You have your pehli rasoi today right
Shivanya: Good morning mummy. We were up only. I am just getting ready and coming down.

And that is exactly how our heroine had ended up here at the kitchen, ready to cook.
She had already asked her favourite sister-in-law and had got to know that her husband was a huge fan of Mughlai food, with kheer for desert.
Soon she was ready with lovely food. Butter naan, chicken gravy and kheer. Everyone collected at the dining table and praised her cooking skills. It was for the first time that they had got to know each other so well. Soon they left for the temple and prayed there. Soon it was afternoon and they had lunch outside. Soon he dropped her to her office and went to his own.
