The Most Awaited Function

Today was the most awaited function of any marriage. The Sangeet. Everyone was very very excited and happy. Rajeev-Surbhi and Shivam-Riya were also dancing. As Riya was still not heavily pregnant, and her baby bump was quite small, she was all excited to dance for her Manu's Sangeet.
In the evening everyone got ready and went to the lawn. A stage was set up. There were props on it. Dev and Shivanya's pictures were being displayed on the projector set behind the stage.
Some were of them together as well from their school times, while some were of the various wedding functions. Shivaansh was ready with the surprises he had for his Dida and Jiju. He also had one separate surprise for Shivanya. Slowly the guests started arriving and it was time for the bride and groom to come.
Shivanya was clad in a black Anarkali, with light make up. She believed in being natural.
Dev was all ready and colour coordinated with his soon to be wife.
They soon reached the venue and went towards the Dias set for them.
Devanshi got on the stage with the other two(Raghavi and Shivaansh). Shivanya's cousins, Adi and Sidhu also accompanied them.
Adi: Good evening everyone. We are here to celebrate my Didi and Jiju's Sangeet functione. But how can a function be completed without some Dhamaka.
Shivaansh: We have a surprise for you guys today. So we would request the surprise to please do the honour of bringing smiles on their faces.
And that's when it happened...... THEIR CLASSMATES entered slowly on the stage.
Shivanya(slowly): Oh My God!!! Everyone is here. Each one of them. Dev!!!!!
Dev: I can't believe this. They got everyone here. That's really fab. I haven't seen them in years.
Shivanya: I know. I haven't seen them since 13 years. OMG!!!!!
She went ahead to hug each one of them.
Shivanya: Guys!!! How are you? Drishu, Vaanya, Ishani, Diya. Everyone is here right??
Vaanya: Yes. Everyone.(whispering now). Except for LEISHA.
Shivanya: Oh. Who even cares for her. She was a b***h and she always will be.
Vaanya: So Dev told you about what she did??
Shivanya: Dev!!? No. Why? Did something happen?
Vaanya: I can only say yes. Something happened, but it's not my place to tell.
Shivanya: I understand.
Till then Shivaansh was already on the stage with the others.
Devanshi: We hope you guys liked the surprise we planned for you guys. Well there is more to come now.
Shivanya and Dev(in unison, loudly): We loved it guys. Thank you so much.
Sidhu: So now we welcome our lovely Shivam Bhaiya and Riya Bhabhi.
Everyone welcomed them with claps. They danced on the song below
(Only the song. Their dance was different peeps)
Raghavi: Lovely performance guys. Now next we have Di and Jiju up for the performance.

Shivaansh: Great job Di. Jiju has finally left his girlfriends for you. Don't let him go.
Everyone giggles at this.
Devanshi: No we have the brothers performance for their lovely little sister.
The brothers, that is, Shivam, Sidhu, Adi and Shivaansh, with Rajeev danced on Deewangi Deewangi.
Raghavi: Good job. Now we have a dance by the girls.
Raghavi, Devanshi, Riya, Surbhi and a few of the bride and groom's cousins started dancing on Sajanji ghar aaye.
Devanshi: Thank you everyone. Now next we have with us Raghavi and Shivaansh.

Devanshi: Thanks Everyone. We are done with the performances. Please proceed towards the buffet.
As everyone came and congratulated the couple, and went towards the buffet, Shivaansh went and got his gift from the room.
Shivaansh: Dida. I have something for you.
Shivanya: Anshu, first of all, thank you so much. I really loved it today.
Dev: Me too. Thanks Shivaansh.
Shivaansh: It's Ok both of you. Stop saying thanks all the time. And Jiju, you have to start calling me Anshu just like Dida does.
Dev nodded at him, smiling.
Shivaansh: Dida. I have another gift for you.
Shivanya(over- excited): Really. What is it?? Show me na.
Shivaansh took out a gift nearly wrapped in the wrapping paper.
'Open it' He said while giving it to her.
'Ok. Let's see'
As soon as she opened the gift, her eyes filled with tears. It was a scrapbook, full of her pictures with her parents.
Shivaansh: Whenever you miss them, just see this. And always remember, they are here.
He said pointing towards her heart.
Shivanya hugged him in ecstasy. 'Thank you so much Anshu. Thank you so much.' Tears were running down her cheeks.
Shivaansh: Dida, It's Ok. I knew you were missing them. See I know you so well.
They broke the hug and smiled after that.
Dev: you guys deserve a picture.
Saying that he clicked a picture of the duo.
Shivaansh: Jiju, I want a promise from you. Will you get my Dida to meet me at least once in a month?? I have never ever lived without her. I went with her even on business trips. Please.
Dev went near him and gave him a man hug.
Dev: We will come to meet you guys once a week. I promise. I think a month is too long.
Shivaansh: Thanks Jiju.
Shivanya smiles at them and with that they all proceeded towards the dinner.
