Chapter 33: Lunch

*Author POV* Urimare excused herself after that. Dami and Dee went to cook with her. Andy gave baby Sam and her dad a kiss; they left too. Nathan wished that cute little baby was his. He was already getting all protective of them. The wolves were still there. Cris was showing them how to use the new security system. Andrea went to the kitchen to wash the glasses. She took a deep breath. She was holding herself as best as she could. Her hands clenched the cool glass tightly as she washed it, a tautness in her shoulders speaking to the effort of keeping her emotions in check. She took out her phone and ordered two more punching bags specially designed for her, a direct outlet for the pent-up rage she needed to release. -"These five men. Why aren't they included in our plans? I mean, they are important in this operation, but why is it you don't want them to be caught?" Leo asked Cris when Andy was entering the room. She did notice the word "OUR." -"Like I said, they are mine, and they will be delivered to me a day after this operation. You truly don't want to know what I have in mind for them, so I'll keep those details to myself, thank you." Her voice dropped to a low, chilling snarl, the words cutting through the air like sharpened knives as she spoke with such hatred, a wicked smile, and a cold, terrifying blaze in her eyes. The girls gasped, and Tom and Ramirez were surprised by this whole new persona. Leo was about to ask again, but Cris shot him a narrowed look, and he blushed. -'She's scary,' they thought through the mind link. -'She suits you, man,' Leo told Nate. Nate smiled at her with the same fire. -"Can I pitch in?" He met her gaze for a while. He could see her armor cracking, noting a brief, involuntary widening of her eyes as surprise washed over her, followed by a flicker of hesitation, relief, and excitement. They were all there, it was getting easier for him to read her. She blinked a few times. -"I bet you're hungry," she said, looking at them. Their faces lit up so fast she chuckled. -"You like Israeli food?" She asked them. -"Never had it," Nathan said. They all shook their heads. -"Upstairs, we don't talk about any of this, okay?" She said while opening the door. They all followed Cris. Andy began to tidy. Nate stayed there with her, just looking at her. -"Cris is Leo's mate?" She affirmed more than asked. She pulled up the screen. -"Yes, she is." There was silence. Nathan was trying to figure out what she was thinking while putting the chairs in their place. She went to the computer. One of the screens on the left wall had surveillance cameras. She stood in front. -"I've seen your people suffer because of the bond. I've seen women and children being so mistreated WE had to intervene. I've seen Alphas make their packs do things against their will. I'll need a word with him before he tries anything, you see she is mine. We have a... soul bond." She then looked at him. He was confused. -"Nathan, I've been through hell, my kids too. Cris is younger than me, but her hell was even worse; she suffered since she was a baby. I found her, and I took her under my care—not my parents, ME. She is more than a sister. She is my mom, my kid, she is my spiritual guide. She is my person. Our souls are bonded. We are inseparable... It's kind of like your mate bond." She saw him pale, and his eyes widened. -"Without the s*x or romance," She added quickly before he fainted. -'Stupid wolf'. -"Look...I know you said it hurts, but you guys gotta reject us. This is war we're talking about. People are gonna die. Your people will die if we don't do what's right. We're strong warriors, not just housewives. We won't fit in your male-dominated world. You'll have another thing coming for you if you think we'll just let you in easy. And honestly, I don't know if I ever will. I'm a mom of three. I've been beaten and messed with all these years. I had to protect my kids from the guy I was FORCED to believe was the love of my life. You have no idea what that did to me. He had so much control over me, I forgot who I even was. He didn't just break my body; he broke pieces of my soul—my love, my trust, everything intimate. Even if he didn't break my spirit, he...he...messed me up—my self-esteem, my worth. The only reason I kept going was Cris and my kids, not even my parents. Cris and I...we're all we've got, and you guys, well... you're not in our plans. We can't just let you in and change everything without knowing what we're getting into." She took a deep, exhausted breath. Nathan was trying to understand what she was saying. She was finally opening to him, and he wanted her to know he saw her. -"How can I fix that? How can I show you that you are worthy, that you can be adored and treasured?" He asked with a low voice. -"You can't. You can't fix me, us, or the past. You can't make it better. You can't be the hero who saves me, and everyone. All you can do is be there for us, because it's not only me, it's US. I'm not alone here. All you can be is the safe place we go to when we face this. You can be our rock. Stand by our side while we go through all this...hell. You'll feel helpless, frustrated, with no guarantee that we will pass this, that we will let go. You will have to show us you'll be there no matter how ugly this s**t will go. You think you could do that? With all that uncertainty, with only the hope that it'll get better? Not being the one who makes the shots? Can you love us even if we don't ever recover? Or if we don't ever love you back? Can you give your pack's lives to our cause? Because I won't ever give up on this... So, will you be able to put all your lives at risk just because of someone you think you love because of a bond of some sort?" She said, clenching her jaw. Nathan just looked at her. -"Think about that. Now let's go eat. I'm starving." When she turned, he took her by her wrist and pulled her to his chest. -"You done?" He said, not taking her 'leave me alone' act seriously. She pursed her lips. -"This is serious, Alpha Nathan. You have so much to lose. Just do it! Reject me and move on, please," she mumbled while holding his shirt on the sides of his waist. -"Princess, I'd give up anything to be with you. You want my pack? It's yours. You don't want it? I'll dissolve it. But let me get this straight for you. I am NEVER going to reject you. You hear me? You belong with me, and I have loved you for so long, nothing can change that. I will be here for you. Any way you need. We all are. Just give us a chance. Maybe the Moon Goddess put me in your way for a reason. Give my pack a chance too, to prove its worth. I know they won't disappoint, and we will fight for you, not because you are my mate, but because it is the right thing to do. You are right, I want to do this as well, and I know many packs will join us. You four have done an amazing job. I've never seen a plan so well thought out. And for the record, I'm in love with the woman I see right now, not just the dream of a gothic girl I saw at the airport a long time ago. You are the most amazing woman I've ever met, and this is not the mate bond talking." He waited for her to argue with him, but she was speechless. She just looked so bewildered and out of place. -"Can I kiss you? Nope, you know what...I've been holding back this urge all morning, so this is the last time I ask you, 'cause I was made for lovin' you, baby. You were made for lovin' me. Got it?" He said, not waiting for her answer, just grabbing both cheeks and kissing her with such passion she became dizzy. He released her lips and held her close to him. She was panting and blushing, her lips a bit swollen from the intensity of that kiss. She'd swear his teeth felt sharper. He leaned down a bit so that their eyes could meet at the same level. -"Just so you know, you made Shadow so upset, you'll have to make it up for him," He said, pouting. His eyes became pitch black with yellow irises. -"I...I'm sorry, Shadow. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, I..." She said, looking at him. He just looked at her. She began to squirm on her spot. -"I won't ask you something like that again. I know it's important to you, I promise." She bit her lip. He didn't move or say anything; he just stared at her. She gulped, this wolf had her nervous. -'Now what. Patricia...help!' she thought to herself. -'Nuh huh, you're on your own,' she responded to herself. Yes, she is crazy. She slid her hands on the back of his neck, gripping his hair a bit, pulling him to her as she pecked his cheeks, his forehead, his nose. She looked at his perfect lips, then at his eyes. Slowly she got closer until they were touching. Without taking her eyes off of his, She slid the tip of her tongue on his lips, asking for entrance. His body trembled a bit. She took his bottom lip and started nipping. He let out a grunt, and she smiled against his lips. His grip on her became tighter, like he wanted to glue her to him forever. She began to kiss him more passionately, more urgently. She pushed him to the table where he leaned, spreading his legs a bit. She was between them, and he slid his hand on her ass, gripping her hard against him. She gasped when she felt the tingling sensation going all through her body at his touch, and feeling his huge bulk sent a jolt of electricity through her body. He took advantage of it and slid his tongue inside her mouth, twirling and fighting dominance with hers. He then began to pamper her with kisses all through her jawline, down her neck. She shivered when he got to her sweet spot. He sucked and licked, and she tilted her head to let him have more access. He let his fangs out, nipped her neck a bit. She moaned, and the hand gripped on his hair got into a tight fist, pulling him to her. They made out for a bit longer, and when they became breathless, he already had a hand under her hoodie. He brushed his thumbs on her ribs, and he noticed the scars. She got a bit stiff but didn't remove his hands from her. -"So responsive," he said with his husky, deep voice when she shivered. He kissed her lips again. This time they were small pecks. -"You forgive me?" she whispered against his lips. Twirling his hair with her fingers, massaging his scalp. -"You promised, so yeah," he said, enjoying her touch. Still moving his thumb on her ribs, he identified another big scar. He gave back the control to Nathan before going berserk. -"We should get going. I don't want your dad to come for us." He said, and that woke her from dreamland. She cleared her throat, and they went back quickly and quietly. The couple went upstairs, and they all turned to look at them. His hair was a bit tousled and had a goofy smile on his face. She was a bit flustered, blushing, her clothes a bit messy; both their lips were red, swollen. All the men smirked at them, except for her father, who had his murder look on. Her mother started laughing hard with Cris, who was about to say something embarrassing. The girls giggled, and the kids were a bit confused. They hurried to their seats. She looked at her dad with his serious face. -'28 years old, and he still goes all papa bear on me.' She smiled at that thought, and Nate smiled as a reflection of her smile.
