Chapter 32: The meeting part 4

*Author POV* -"We can help," Alpha Nathan declared, his gaze locking with Andy’s. There was no suggestion in his voice, only resolve. -"You will be risking too much. You want to start a war between vampires and werewolves? Last time that happened almost half of the world population died. I won't allow it," she answered sternly. There was silence in the room. Nate and Andy were having a dual gaze. Alpha Nathan was exuding so much authority that all the werewolves were bowing, and their wolves whimpering. But not them, definitely not her. And it was getting to him. He wanted her to submit to him. To acknowledge him as her Alpha. To let him protect her. To fight for her. But instead, Andrea felt his Alpha aura as a distant, unwavering pressure, a force that simply existed around her without affecting her. She maintained calm, with detached observation, analyzing his attempt to dominate rather than reacting emotionally. -"Alpha, these are not just vampires; they are three of the ORIGINAL vampires, Vlad's own men. Do you have any idea how many people they've slaughtered throughout the centuries? All the terrible things they've inflicted? They've wiped out entire countries—men, women, children, and animals—just because they were...bored. Heck, they might even be responsible for the demise of the last Tsar family in Russia. They founded the Bratva. Their influence intertwines with every mafia we've ever encountered. This...this is bigger than my personal vendetta; ending them would change everything, and we've been hunting them for centuries. One single mistake, and we lose everything. All that we've sacrificed to this day, all the lives given for this cause worldwide, would be for nothing," she said to him with hard, wet eyes. Yet, she didn't cry. He looked at her. He saw her pain so clearly. And knowing with absolutely no doubt she would give her life for their cause. All of them would. -"Alpha Nathan Happle of the BlackClaw pack. You'd be putting your family, your friends, your pack, and your allies at risk. Heck, maybe start World War III between them and all the werewolf kind. Are you willing to do that? Are your pack and allies ready to give their lives for this cause?" She said, looking him straight in the eyes, pleading in her heart that he'd back off and leave her. -"So you expect me to just sit down and do nothing while you four go against them alone?" His voice was slow and sad as he retorted, "What are you? Why are YOU after them?" -"No, what I do want you to do is to let us handle this. I expect you to come up with a plan with us that will avoid your people getting hurt by a war you weren't part of in the first place. We'll take them as far from you as possible. We are doing this because we can and because nobody else is willing to. And when we know something bad is happening to innocent people and we can end it and don't do s**t about it, we are as guilty as them and we can't live with that." -"Language!" Mom was two seconds from taking off her chancla. Her eyes shone yellow like a predator's. -"Sorry, Mom," Andy muttered. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She was tired and losing her control. The heavy mental drain made her need time to think. For her it was a raw wound to talk about, and now the last piece of the puzzle was like a cold bucket of water. -"Look, for now, just think about it. Consult it with your people. We can discuss all the strategies we have planned today. We could use your fresh eyes. We are not shutting you out of this, and we're not alone; we have humans and other kinds of shifters that are on this fight too, even a few werewolves." Andy looked at all of them apologetically. She took a deep breath. -"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap, I know you mean well, but you guys have a good thing here, we can see you are good people. I just don't want you to get involved in all of this. I don't want you to get hurt," She rubbed her face, tired of holding everything under control. -"And I can't tell you the whole story today. This is too much information we are dealing with right now. What we are is not important." They all looked at Nathan. He was still holding his gaze with Andy. He had a feeling she was rejecting him. He nodded, but his wolf howled in despair, and only Andrea caught the quick, sharp pain in his eyes. -"Okay then. Step one is almost here, and that's our focus right now. I intend to give all the human pawns they use to the human authorities, leaving the heads of the mafias. They are mine. They feel so untouched they know their money will get them off. But I'll make them pay." She waits for a moment to gather her thoughts. -"Cris and I've been working on this for over four years now. This is where we are. We've got people collaborating in a few intelligence agencies around the world," she said while taking baby Sam in her hands when he woke up. Dee followed her and stood next to her, smiling shyly at Liza. She sighed, looking at her baby. -"There are about 76 heads here. I think these 23 are vamps for sure. Can your Beta help Cris get all the information she needs to track them down?" She asked Nathan. He was quiet now, his eyes softening, taking in how she was carrying her baby with such tenderness. Her eyes, holding so much endearment towards the baby, were so soft. It was like in that moment only he existed. She gave the baby to her mom. Dee sat on her legs. And as she took a breath, her walls were up again. -"I'm not sure either, but my Beta will get Cris that info. I have connections with a few packs over there, maybe they'll help," Nathan said, and Leo nodded. -"Okay, but don't give any information until we check them out. We have to keep all this matter a secret. Right now, you should keep eyes on these men," Andy said while pointing at Pietro’s men. -"We know they're coming here next, and we know they will try to follow you. Cris already has updated your security system. She'll give you your new entry codes when we're done here. She'll go with you to make your company and your territory safer. You girls are still anonymous to them so you can be safe at your territory. Tom, Ramirez, they know you follow us. We think they don't know the reason, and I don't want them to suspect you or try to dig it out of you. So you need to stop," Andy looked at them, and they looked at Nathan. -"Hey, why were you following us in the first place?" Cris asked. Nate’s eyes went wide for a split second. Andy saw the blush and tried not to smile. -"We will still keep an eye on your house. I'll rotate my men so they don't know we are still following you," Nathan said, and she narrowed her eyes. After thinking about it, she nodded to him. It would be useless to argue about this; he won't give in. -"This operation was going to meet its endgame by the end of this weekend, but I think with this new information we'll have to reschedule the second step." She looked at everyone. -"Anyways, any questions?" For almost 3 hours, Cris and Andy were explaining nonstop. They explained which people will be detained by which agency. They selected trustworthy people who couldn't be bribed. They gave them enough proof for them to have the maximum penalty without any parole, or deal for a reduced penalty. They also identified those working with corrupt authorities. Even politicians were involved. They will freeze all bank accounts all around the world. A worldwide raid that will piss off lots of people. It would happen simultaneously, so the people arrested won't be able to notify or set any alarm. They were all quietly impressed. They've thought of everything; even as risky as it was, it would be a huge success. Apart from the vamps, only 5 people weren't on their worldwide plan. -"What about them?" Tom asked, now more relaxed. They were all visibly more comfortable, listening, asking questions, suggesting changes to their plan, and feeling part of it as Cris and Andy listened and made the changes. Nathan, on the other hand, was trying to miserably hide his objections. She did have a point. This was a difficult decision to make. He knew that she would not let go of her cause, and he knew he wouldn't let go of her. -"Well, Tom. Angry snakes lash out. Makes chopping off their heads that much easier. And these snakes are mine," she answered with a tired grin. -"Dad, I want Gideons on this first step. To make sure no one gets away with this. Tell them to be ready," her dad nodded. -"Mom, after this step it is crucial to call the Camillas. They need to prepare." She gave a pointed look to her mom. Urimare nodded back. -"We know how the heads of these organizations will react. But we have to be careful with the vampires' retaliation. They'll probably act slowly and low-profile. We'll have to be fast. -"Who are these Gideons and Camillas?" Monique asked. -"Our people. The Gideons are Dad's men, and the Camillas are our sss sisters," Cris shrugged. Andy looked at Nathan quickly, then looked at her mother. -"They've been working with us in this matter. We have people around the world, supernatural and human, who have fought with us to sabotage their operations on Third World countries. They'll help us get information and terminate the people of this organization in what, two, three weeks?" she asked her mother. -"Two. Here in the States and around Europe will take us a week more. The rest of the countries will be no problem," Urimare said, looking at her husband, who nodded. They continued to share all their plans.
