Blaming and Fault

Liam POV

“How dare he? His guts, I want to just kill that motherfucker.” I yelled kicking the tyre if the car.

“Liam just calm down, bro. It’s not the correct time to show your anger, Krystal needs you there.” Dylan says trying to calm me down. We came to get some snacks to eat as per Krystal’s wish. She said, she doesn’t wants to ruin her day so not to make our moods bad and ugly by being angry. ‘That too, because of whom, that bastard?’

“What to do man, just looking at him makes my blood boil inside me and today he, again” I was not even able to finish the sentence, that much of frustration and anger was inside me. I was just trying to control myself from going and breaking his face or kill him.

I didn’t wanted to make Krystal more upset therefore, I also took this chance to take my anger out. The day would have been a perfect one but that bastard had to come and spoil it. “f*****g Bastard” I yelled and kicked the tyre once again.

“Cool down man. Come on, let’s go and have something so that then we can go back to girls. You don’t know, if he comes back.” Dylan says, making a point.

That bastard cannot be trusted. He is such a shameless that he would not even feel ashamed after getting beaten so badly in presence of so many people. And I don’t even want to let his shadow fall upon my sweetness.

At first, I was not ready to leave both the girls alone again but at Krystal asking for something to eat, I was not able say no to her. Therefore, we both are here now at the roadside to get something for the girls and ourselves.

I also never wanted to make her day bad after planning so much to make it perfect. And, nothing else matters to me more than her smile.

“What do you want to have sir?” The man asks, who was packing and serving to the customers.

“Tamales in four places and three chocolate ice cream and one butter scotch ice cream.” Dylan makes the order. “Pack them all with a cold drink and water bottle” Nodding the boy starts preparing the package.

“Anything else you want?” He asks me turning to me.

Nodding I replied, “Just take some drinks, I need them to get over my anger.” He chuckled hearing me and turned away, making an order.

Taking a deep breath, I took my phone out of the pocket and dialed her number.  I was getting agitated and somewhere Dylan’s words started running in my head making me worried if the bastard will come back again. Such a coward bellend he is, hurting a girl to avenge me.

The phone started ringing but she was not receiving it, which started making me lose my mind. So, I turned to Dylan for asking him to go back but then her voice comes from the other side.

“Hello!” she says receiving the call.

Taking a breath of relief, I asked, “What took you so long?”

“It was in Nora’s pocket, so didn’t heard it ringing.” She replied. “What happened?” She asked.

“Nothing, just wanted to ask if you both need anything.” I replied making an excuse. I very well know that she would blame herself for making me worried. So, it’s better to not let her know about my worries and tension.

“Oh, wait let me ask Nora.” She says, and after few seconds, she replies again, “No we don’t want anything now.”

“Okay then, we will there in ten minutes. Just wait and be careful.” I said.

“Okay and stop worrying Liam. I know very well that you didn’t call for asking this.” She says. I sighed with a smile coming on my lips. This girl just knows me too well like an open book.

“I can’t stop, so don’t try.” I replied her, knowing very well that even if I try to stop I won’t be able to and then disconnected the call.

 “Come on, let’s go.” Dylan says coming to me with the packets in his hands. We then walked back to the spot where both the girls were sitting, laughing and talking. Seeing her laugh so freely, made me feel better somehow.

I was already having guilt inside me since the incident that everything happened just due to me. if that bastard would not have an issue with me or Krystal would not have been so close to me, this would have not even started.

He made her his way avenging on me. He got her wrapped around him just to have make me regret and this has been killing me since then. But, then there is nothing that I can do now except taking care of her and being with her.

Killing or torturing or breaking his bones would not help anyone to be happy. Neither her nor our family and friends, not even me. It would just make everyone more upset and worried. Even that dickhead will get enough courage to come back making her life a living hell.

“Oh god, atlast you both came back. I was so much hungry that my stomach started making sounds.” Nora says bringing me out of my thoughts and I saw her laughing with Krystal and Dylan smiling looking at her.

“Yeah, you know it takes time to go to the stall and stand there in queue to have your order.” Dylan says, getting an attitude in reply.

“Come babes, let fill our stomach with these tasty smelling foods. Just look them they seem to be inviting us to just have them.” Nora says, sitting down on the sand taking out the packets.

“You have it, I am coming.” Krystal replies, coming to me.

Holding my hand she walks little away from them and then giving me a look she says, “I very well know what is going on in that head of yours. But, don’t make your blood boil thinking about it again and again. I am the alone to be blamed for everything that happened and will happen in future. Okay?”

“No, I am the one to be blamed. He came after you just to take his revenge for losing against me. It was not your fault. I must have been alert and kept my eyes upon him, to make sure your protection but I failed to do that.” I replied turning away from her, not able to face her with anger in my eyes.

Not again Liam. I’ve told you before also that it was all my stupidity to fall for him. That too, after knowing him and getting a warning from you. You were the one who saved me from that monster. So, how can you be blamed for what happened?” She asked me with tears rolling down her cheeks this time.

So, I hugged her tightly knowing very well that this argue will result to nothing. Infact, it will only make this girl cry even more.  So, after few minutes of letting her cry, I said, “Come on now, otherwise those two will eat all the packets.”

She laughed, leaving me and wiped her tears. And as we reached to them, we again got blessed to get the view of them bickering and shouting at each other.

“Guys, you both won’t stop anywhere or what? Again, you are bickering.” I tried scolding them but my voice came out like a request.

“This girl always has an issue with whatever I do. Why doesn’t she focuses on her work and leave me? Always trying to pick a fight with me.” Dylan replied.

“I pick up the fights? It’s you who always does things in inappropriate manner, not me. I just ask you to do them in an appropriate way. Am I wrong to do that?” Nora asks defending herself.

“Yeah, you are. You can’t ask everyone to behave as you want.” He replied.

“I don’t ask anyone to..” Nora was saying only when Krystal interrupts her.

 “Will you both stop behaving like kids and become mature?” She asks them strictly in a complete serious mode. And, yes the effect of it was visible as both looked at her and each other, and then bend their head having the food.

I only know, how I controlled my laugh at that situation and even imagining about it make me laugh. But, then instead of me Krystal laughs loudly making me laugh too and both of them were looking at us like dumbsters, but in few seconds they also started laughing.

After eating, we spent few more minutes there, after which we all got in the car. I stayed at Dylan’s only being tired after dropping Krystal and Nora at Krystal’s home. I was still having anger somewhere in me but I ignored it by thinking about her laughing, and enjoying herself. Then, slowly the sleep took over with darkness consuming.
