THE STRANGEST SESSION

1086 Words
Monday morning turned out to be even stranger than Emily would have imagined because in all her years helping her patients, she had never considered accepting any proposal, until Richard. That morning she took a cold shower as fast as she could, shaved her legs and made herself pretty with the excuse that she hadn't been feeling pretty lately. That was an outright lie because she knew perfectly well that her beauty was not common, she accepted herself as is and felt proud of herself. There was nothing more attractive in a woman than accepting her beauty both inside and outside, and that was what served as a magnet for men. They were attracted to self-confident women, of course they were also looking for those women that it was easy to take advantage of but that did not work with her, no sir. She was a beautiful, s****l being with desires beyond the mundane. But all her self-confidence went to waste the moment she walked into the office and found Richard reading a magazine with a lack of interest. “Good morning!” Sidney radiated joyful energy, she practically shone like the only star, letting the rest shrink in contrast. Today she was wearing a nice, flowy pink dress, strapless and with pockets on the sides. “How was your weekend?” “Uneventful.” Emily replied drily as she eyed Richard who was yet to meet her gaze. “How about yours, Sidney?” “It was alright, I went out clubbing and to other two parties.” Ah, the perks of bouncing in the youthful rolling ball. “I think I met someone, he seemed nice.” “You think?” she rarely shared any interest in Sidney’s activities but sometimes this girl gave good tea. “You need to tell me during lunch, okay?” “Deal.” Sidney grinned and busied herself checking today’s agenda. “Mr. Thorn.” Emily addressed him and finally he raised his eyes to hold her gaze with his own. “I trust you did your homework.” “What if I didn’t?” “Then we have nothing to discuss today.” She said simply. “Did you do it?” Richard smiled politely and put the magazine back on the small table next to the couch, got up and walked towards Emily’s door. “Of course.” He waited patiently until she decided to move and unlock the door. “After you, Doctor.” He motioned for her to go inside and she did, careful not to touch him as she stepped in. “I guess it’s another morning for you where you won’t be able to masturbate. I’m sorry I keep ruining your… routine.” Emily took a sharp intake of air and instead of correcting him, she remained silent. She put her bag on the desk and hurried to take a seat across from Richard, who was waiting for her with a serious expression. When she sat down, she discovered a kind of discomfort that didn't go away with anything. There was something today that bothered her, but she didn't know what it was. “Very well, before starting today's session I would like you to tell me what you thought of our dynamics. By dynamics I mean the homework you took home with you.” Emily shifted in her sit and crossed her legs, careful to not flash her client. “I also want you to tell me if you had any kind of problem carrying it out and what helped you do it.” Richard seemed distracted; his eyes were on the small tape recorder that was within Emily's reach. "I'm not going to record anything yet, first I want you to answer me and then we will discuss your findings. So, tell me, what are the top three reasons why you view your s****l partners as objects and not as people?” “Well, I thought about it and the first reason is quite simple. Their only purpose is to make me come.” It shouldn’t have shocked her, but it did. “I am not interested in having a relationship with them beyond the s****l one, it has no purpose, I have no use for a girlfriend either.” Now that was a fast way to reject her without even trying.  “And the last one would be that I am very selective as to who I like to f**k; where and when also influence the decision.” “I see. Now tell me what you think about it.” "I think that more than for me this was a kind of little research done for you, doctor." Emily felt her blood drain from her face, "It's as if you wanted to know these little details about me. Actually, this dynamic didn't help me because I know myself, my problem now is that there are things that disturb me, and they bother me." “Alright, thank you for your honesty.” Emily was screaming on the inside, okay she wasn’t going to deny that part of herself was looking forward to hearing about his findings, but this was flat out embarrassing. “And now, how did you reach your conclusions?” “The first one was rather easy; I was f*****g your secretary after our first session and I realized that I couldn’t care less if they come or not.” Emily blinked hard and scoffed. It sure had to be a joke, right? He f****d Sidney? In this building? Richard and Sidney had s*x?! “Excuse me!” She couldn’t even recognize her voice anymore; it came out so high pitched she had to clear her throat in order to utter another word. This couldn’t be happening to her. Monday was supposed to be a clean slate for all the weird things she encountered last session. This man sure was something special. “The other two came together when I was flogging Leah this weekend. I have this interest in her but is mostly s****l and she’s proven to be quite profitable for me in terms of money but I have no desire to go out with her just because I enjoy her body.” “What?!” She needed to relax; this wasn’t very professional of her. “I see…” What else could she possibly say! “But I must tell you, doctor, I find you very fascinating.” Who is this man! “Would you consider having dinner with me sometime this week?” She could only look at him with her jaw on the ground. Emily should have started recording from the moment she sat down. "You don't need to say anything, just nod and we can continue with the session." When she didn't move, Richard's expression turned gloomy, "For your sake I hope you accept." And that's how Dr. Emily Vargas made the worst mistake of her entire career.
