Chapter 5 - The Coven

It’s a beautiful day and Bella was at the training center fighting with Damain under the supervision of Gamma Vince .

Since she is an Alpha’s daughter , she is only trained by her family , the Beta and Gamma. After the 3rd time to fall under Damian , she rolls over and trips him causing him to fall flat on his back.

“ Don’t hold back because I’m your sister , I need to be stronger to survive “ she commented while punching him on the face . She knows that her brother don’t want to cause her pain but with her power , she can heal really fast , faster than normal wolf.

Afterwards , the fight turns intense as the two gave their all to the mock fight. Since Damain is stronger , Bella needs to be faster .

But , even if she is faster , her brother still ...... “ Damian wins “ Gamma Vince declared . “ But Bella , you have improved a lot “ .

“ Thank You Gamma Vince “ smiling , Bella went to change her clothes to a light pink t shirt , blue short and sneakers. Meanwhile , Damian also changed to blue denim , black shirt and a black nike.

“ Are you going home now ? “ asked Damian . “ Since the weather is so nice , I thought of going to the forest for a run and some practice “ Bella replied with a smile “ Do you want to tag along ? “

“ Sure , I’ll keep you company since Gabbie and Trisha is not here today "

At the pack forest , on the west side of pack land , deeper into the woods sat a big meadow where she always practice her magic beside a small stream.

She can now control her healing power , living things like flowers blooms and open up , little plant grows into trees and animals seems to attract to her . It times like this that Bella feels every happy for having her power to give more life and beauty to the land.

With the background of the mountain and blue sky , It feels like beyond existing , it's living a full life . After sometimes , she feel like going for a run.

" Come on Damian " she invited " let's go for a run " going to a tree to shift , while Damian went to the opposite tree to do the same .

Next Day Bella was laying down on her bed texting when suddenly Samantha , her younger sister burst in her bedroom “ have you heard the news ? “ she asked .

“ What news ? “

“ The Golden Moon Pack was attacked by rouges yesterday “ Sam explained. The Golden Moon Pack is considered tenth greatest , powerful pack boosting 800 warrior wolf alone so , to attack such a large pack is unheard of.

“ The attacks are getting nearer our territory “ Bella said worriedly . The Golden Moon Pack’s is bordered with Red Moon Park on their west territory.

“ I know , dad is setting up a meeting today with our allies but I don’t know if the Red Moon Pack will be at the meeting as they closed off two years ago “ Sam continued .

Two years ago , after the attack on the Red Moon Park resulting to a lot of death of pack members including the Alpha and Luna , The new Alpha Nick closed off all borders and since then gained the reputation of being close off who are fierce and ruthless pack among all US packs . All packs now favored being their allies for protection even though the Alpha is one of the youngest in the US.

“ I’ll get ready and go down for breakfast “ Bella informed Sam while going to the adjoining bathroom to take a shower. Sam nodded and went downstairs. Coming out the bathroom , she went to the closet and choose to wear a blue denims , light pink shirt and black sneakers. Upon reaching the dining table , Damian , Chester , Sam and Luna Jhoan is already at breakfast. A spread of ham , eggs , toast and pancakes are already laid out with choices of orange juice , coffee and milk. Sitting down , grabbing some pancakes and milk , she asked her mother “ when will father get back ? “ . “ Maybe this afternoon “ Luna Jhoan replied . “ I know it’s worrisome but we can only do our best to train harder “

Damian injected “ Mom , don’t worry , our pack is one of the greatest so no one will even attempt to fight us “

“ We will train extra again today mother “ Chester assured his mother “ I think it’s a good idea to visit the coven for added protection “ Sam volunteered “ Bella and I will go mother “ looking at her sister “ sure , we’ll go mother “ Bella agreed.

The coven is located at the southeast side of pack territory , years ago , some witches seek asylum with Alpha Jacob since witches are considered enemy of wolfs , they are hunted and killed . Alpha Jacob doesn’t agree that all witches are evil so he build a large mansion at the far southeast side of the pack territory and delegate it as home of the witch’s coven. The witches return the goodwill of the Alpha by protecting the pack thru spells and potions .

After breakfast , Bella and Sam went to the coven. The coven is located deep in the woods almost at the edge of the pack territory surrounding by caves and mountainous area so few people went there as it is very dangerous if you are not familiar with the path to trek. This is the chosen location of the witches and wizards to ensure their safety as many werewolfs still consider them as enemies. Alpha Jacob have ensure their safety and as a favor , the coven has help in protecting the pack through spells and potions . They have grown their community and have live independently from the pack. From time to time , some high ranking witches and wizards have attended the pack meetings to be updated and to social with other pack members. They have their own small school but they are also welcome to go to the pack school . Thru the years , they have become friendly with each other and been accepted with the Silver Moon Pack as official members.

Upon arrival of the coven property , The sister went straight to the house of the head witch . Martha is out in the garden tending to her flowers with a little help of her magics . Her flowers blooms so bright with the sweetest smell as bees fly busily over such assorted colors and open petals . Anyone seeing such beauty will lift there mood happily.

"Hi Martha " Bella greeted her with a wave . " Good day ! " gesturing toward her house " come inside " turning to go in . Martha's house is a two story cottage surrounded with a large verandas with a lot of flowers surroundings like a forest . She went straight to the kitchen to get some drinks while gesturing to her guest to go into the living room. " Feel free to sit anywhere " she said while putting down the ice tea on the living table as Bella and Sam stand looking around . Serving her guest ice tea , she continued " so , why are you girls here ? "

" Have you heard about what happened with the Red Moon Pack ? " Sam asked in reply

" I heard some talk about it and we have been feeling uneasy for a few days but didn't know about what "

" Is it possible to know if it will affect us in any way ? " Bella frowned worriedly .

" You know we can't know that but we will heighten the protection spell of the pack " Martha promised .

" We will do that tonight at midnight " Midnight is the golden time for witches and wizards as it is the time their powers are at it's peak.

Standing , both Bella and Sam said goodbyes and turn to leave " thank you " they both said in return.

Leaving the coven's territory, they encountered Martha's only daughter Susan along the path .

" Hello " Susan greeted shyly . Susan is also a student at Dreamville High School , a year younger . She can be a very popular student with a statuesque figure with light blond hair and blue eyes but very timid and shy who always hide at the school library.

" Hello , we were just visiting your mom " Sam explained .

" Why are you walking alone ? " Bella asked Susan in concern. Since witches are not accepted in all packs and can't mind link , they are cautioned to always never to travel alone for safety.

" I just went to get my homework from school that I forgot "

" Next time , don't go alone " Bella said . " Thank you for your concern " Susan replied smilingly " I won't travel alone again "

" We will go with you until the coven territory " Bella insisted . The coven territory is clouded with spells so any and all movements within the territory is known to all witches and wizards. " Thank You "
