It was time for the council members to turn in their votes. Adriel was tired of keeping the secret from the rest of the pack. Ethel had convinced him that their people would protect themselves better once they all had the information. She was right, by not telling them ,their lives were being endangered, they were sitting ducks waiting to be picked off one at a time.
Besides, he would worry less if everyone was taking similar precautions to protect the pack. David had gone to each council members house and collected a sealed envelope with their vote. They were to meet in Adriels office in five minutes to know the verdict.
Ethel took time away from the lab to come and support Adriel, not that he needed it but her presence was very welcome especially now that she commanded a certain level
