POV: Naomi The supermarket aisle was very quiet. It was actually quieter than I expected it to be for this time of the afternoon. There were just a handful of people in the supermarket. Bright lights bounced off the clean tiles, and the cool air from the air conditioners brushed gently against my skin as I walked beside Lucy. She pushed the shopping cart steadily, stopping every now and then to grab something off the shelves and then ticking it off her list.
