Levi's POV.
I stared at the untouched coffee in front of me as my mother's voice resonated in my ears.
“Levi?” my mum called out my name, bringing me out of my thinking phase and I turned to look at her.
“Yes mum” I answered.
“Have you spoken to your girlfriend lately?”
“What girlfriend are you talking about mum?”
“Are you really serious? Don't act as though you don't understand what I'm saying to you. Why would you even ask me such a question? Who is your girlfriend, isn't she Mia Genovese?” my mum asked and I chuckled at her words.
My stomach clenched tightly inside of my body and I knew much earlier that this day would finally come and play right in front of my face. The moment I agreed to have lunch with my parents in the same house, I should have known that they weren't after
