I pushed the door of my office open and my eyes landed on Cairo. She stood at the window, her back turned against me. That was what she always does, whenever I have been gone for too long.
It was almost like she knew when I was going to come back. She turned to look at me and I could see that longing in her eyes as her face didn't fail to express disappointment and I knew she was pissed.
