I opened my eyes and the first thing I noticed was the voices of people in my ears. Then I heard someone cough out loudly as though he or she was trying to get my attention so badly.
It took me a moment for my blurry vision to clear away and I stretched my body only for me to realize that I wasn't alone in the hospital room. My eyes settled on the doctor who stood in front of me with a group of nurses that were behind him and all of them were staring at me.
I wondered why they were all staring at me in that gaze, I followed their gaze and I felt my heart skip a beat. Embarrassment swooshed through me immediately as I saw Declan resting his head on my thighs, like it was the softest pillow in the world.
