Sophie stood up, walked towards the door. From the corners of her eyes she saw Adrian following her, so she quickened her steps. She would face him eventually—there was a lot to discuss following their divorce. Not now though. Right now, Sophie didn’t even want to see Adrian’s face.
“Sophie!” Adrian shouted, disregarding the flashes of cameras around him. “Sophie, let’s talk—”
Lawrence stepped in just in time. “I’m sorry, Mr. Beckett, but my client has stated that anything to discuss between you two should go through me first.”
