Heading Home

After strapping the children in the car. I went to the nearest fuel station and fueled the car. I grabbed the kids some snacks and headed to the airport. It was going to take me 3 hours to get there. I just hope Clay doesn't notice. I pray that we get a flight before Clay finds out. It was going to be difficult, as I remembered I would have to denounce the pack and Clay before I crossed the border. The children were talking about their day in school. Then Gemma asked. "Mummy, where are we going?" "Baby we are going on a vacation," "But where are we going mummy," Jay asked. "Well, let me tell you about mummy's home." I looked at them in the rearview mirror. "But your home is back with daddy," Jay said. I chuckled as I was looking at them. "No, my baby's mummy lived in another country before I came here to live." "Oh," they both said together. "Well, mummy lived in a place called Montana. I lived on a Ranch and it was called Shadow Moon Ranch. I lived there with my mum and dad, your grandparents. There are lots of animals that live on the ranch. There are cows, pigs, chickens, horses and goats," I told them. They both started clapping their hands. Gemma, my little angel, loved animals, she had been going on about us getting a puppy. But Clay always said no. I told the twins to settle down as we still had a way to go before we got to the airport. "Oh we're going on a plane." gemma said. "Yes we are! we are going up high in the sky." I smiled at her from the mirror. In no time at all, we were approaching the border. I slowed the car down as I would need to stop before I said the words and crossed. Then it would be a race against time, to get to the airport before Clay finds us. I saw the line of the border running along the road and I stopped just before it. I unbuckled my seat belt and stepped out of the car. This was it. I took a deep breath and braced myself for what I was going to say. "I Sydnee Barns Luna of Deep Shadow Pack, renounce my title of Luna and am no longer Luna of the Deep Shadow pack. I also reject my pack of Deep Shadow Pack." I took another breath as I could feel the connection break. I then said, "I Sydnee Barns Clay Harris Alpha of Deep Shadow Pack. I reject Alpha Clay Harris as my Alpha." The pain hit my chest as I felt the mate bond break. I took deep breaths to try and get the pain under control. I needed to control it as I needed to get back into the car and get us to the airport. I stood up straight and got back in and drove off. I was free now to get to the airport before all hell breaks lose. I knew as soon as I rejected him he would feel it, and he would do all that he could to find us. I know he would take the children as Jay was the next Alpha Heir. "Mummy, are you OK?" Gemma asked. "I'm fine baby don't worry." I carried on driving, and I saw the motorway that would take us to the airport. I was anxious as the airport came into view. I drove towards the main doors and pulled over. I got out and got the twins out, then grabbed the suitcase out from the trunk. I locked the car up and took Gemma's hand, Jay held onto Gemma's other hand as we made our way to the customer service. I sat the twins in the chairs on the side and told them not to move. I then went and asked for flights to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport. I looked back to make sure the twins were where I left them seated. They were still there. I waited anxiously for the Customer Service lady to find any flight out as soon as possible. "Your in luck Miss. There is a flight leaving in 20 minutes." "Great, I'll take it please. 1 adult, 2 children," I said. I opened my bag and took out our passports. I handed them over and paid with my bank card for our tickets. The woman printed off our tickets and our boarding passes. I took them back when she handed them to me and I walked over to the twins. "Right, come on my baby's we have a plane to catch." I smiled at them. Gemma was getting excited and trying to pull Jay. I chuckled at the excitement in Gemma's face. We walked to the gate and showed our boarding passes. We entered the plane. We found our seats and I strapped the twins in. I got comfy wishing the plane would take off soon. I was nervous as hell, and I was feeling sick to my stomach. I knew I wouldn't be able to relax until the plane was on the runway. Gemma was staring out the window and so was Jay trying to look. "Look, mummy, there are other planes," she said very excited. "I know, my baby, those airplanes will be flying to other places." I told her. I sent a quick message to Levi to tell him I was on my way home. I also told him to not tell Clay that we were headed home if he called. I told him that I would explain when I got there. The intercom crackled as the pilot announced we would be departing in 3 minutes. I told the twins to settle back in their seats as we would be moving soon. The light came on to let everyone know that all seatbelts were to be fastened. Then the plane started to move. I closed my eyes and thanked the Moon Goddess that we were finally off. The plane's engine roared to life as we hit the runway. The plane picked up speed and Gemma started squealing in excitement. Then we all felt the plane take off from the ground. Jay grabbed my hand as the plane started to climb. Gemma wasn't fazed at all. She was looking out the window. "Look, mummy, we are flying," she squealed. I chuckled then looked at Jay. "Baby, are you alright?" He nodded his head but didn't say anything. I leant over towards him and kissed him on the head. I felt the plane level off, then I pointed to the seat belt sign. "You see that sign there? Well, when the light goes off you can take your seat belts off," I told them. They both kept looking, then the light went out. Jay let go of my hand, and he let out a deep breath. "Jay baby, are you sure you are alright?" "Yes mummy, I was just a bit scared, but I'm OK now," he told me. Gemma asked if I could unclip her seat belt. So I lent over and unclipped it. She automatically knelt on her seat and looked out of the window. I told the twins to settle down as it was going to be a long flight. Luckily enough, the seats on the plane had small televisions on the back of the headrests. Considering we were on a 13-and-half hour flight. Hopefully the twins will settle down soon. I put on the TV for them and Jay found something to watch. I settled back into my seat and sat there watching the TV with Jay. The flight attendant came around and offered cups of coffee, which I took one. I knew it wouldn't be too long before they started to bring the meals around. At least after the twins ate, they hopefully would settle down to sleep.
