Just as Lucy was finishing her writing up on Sydnee’s chart, she was in the middle of changing Sydnee’s IV bag when she heard a moan. Sydnee was trying to move, and she was waking up. The nurse went and poured a glass of water for her and approached her bed.
Lucy sat down and waited for Sydnee to wake up properly. With a feeling of being watched, Sydnee opened her eyes.
“Hey there,” said Lucy
“Hi.”
“I got you some water, would you like some?”
“Sure.” She smiled at Lucy.
Lucy helped Sydnee to sit up in the bed. She placed an extra pillow behind Sydnee’s back. She handed the glass to Sydnee, then sat back down on the chair. Sydnee sipped at the water not taking her eyes off of the nurse.
