Creed I couldn't believe what I had just said to Amy. It was so careless and inappropriate. I had been thinking about her voice and how my name sounded on it, and then my mind had wandered into even more intimate territory. I felt embarrassed and stupid. But watching Amy with the kids made me think about my childhood. I was lucky to have a mother who always put her children's needs before hers. Seeing Amy's dedication to the kids reminded me of my mother, and I felt sad that my son had missed out on having that kind of mother.
