Chapter 24

1012 Words

I could feel my back burning and when I turned my head around, my eyes opened to the sun light shining directly into my eyes. I groaned, but then smiled. Surprisingly, for the first time in the past week I've stayed at this house, I had a peaceful sleep. Yawning, I flailed my arms up, but my left hand was clutching something tight, and just when I pulled I lost my balance and fell off the bed and on to something hard but comfortable. When I pulled back a little, to my surprise, it was Gordon. His eyes were wide awake as they stared into mine. "Are you okay?" he asked lowly. For a moment I was lost in his dark eyes, transfixed, the only thing I could feel, other than embarrassment, was every inch of his hard body. A shudder went through me at our position and I finally came to my senses.
