CHAPTER 4

Chap 4

She looks at me intently, her eyes glowing with pity and i hope and pray she agrees but No she spoke "I'm sorry, I can't do that."

I continue begging her using all the kind words I could fathom to convince her but she stood on her ground, telling me s**t that the Alpha is going to find me if I escape and when he does he's gonna kill us both.

Not buying that out, I decided to sort other plans. "Okay then. I guess you won. Take me to the mining" I believe that place is quite open and will pave way for me to escape.

She gave me a doleful smile and led me there. She starts showing me around and explain things to me but I wasn't listening.

The only thing I could grasp is that this is were they embedded golds.

I was too busy surveying and finding an escape route. And then it click, I saw a small path leading down to the depth of a forest which seem to have no end.

"Ma'am priyanka.." I slurred, holding my torso, wrinkling my face as though I was in pains.

"What's going on?" She asks in panic.

"I—I—Can you please get me water?" I faked tears.

"Umm..off course yeah..let's get inside"

"Really? Can't you see? I can't even move..." I half-yelled admits the fake tears. After contemplating for a while, she finally left. I watched her leave till she was off sight.

MMission accomplished, Great!!

Getting back on my feet, I took off. I ran through the pathway heading off into the forest. The pains in my leg increase but I cared less.

Who knows this might be the only chance I'll have to escape and so I can't toil with it.

I kept running deeper and deeper into the forest hoping and praying to come out in an open place.

I know I don't know exactly where I was headed but I just pray and hope I'm able to go out far away from the park. Hours past by and I kept running.

I was barely even breathing so I decided to take a rest under a big tree.

I sat down there and I slowly closed my eyes. A woofing and growling sound jolted me out of sleep. The moment I open my eyes, I was met with pure red eyes.

The creature was extra huge having shaggy hairs, long snouts and stocky legs. It was an Animal and it was standing few inches away from me.

My heart came drumming inside my chest. the more he draws near, the more my heart drum. I stood up immediately and took to my heels.

I started running wildly with back of my leg touching my head, I look at my back to see the animal jiggling after me.

It was more faster than me...

I tried increasing my pace but it seem so impossible as I was too weak. But in any case I didn't relent.

As I continue running, I felt myself slacking back as I realised I was running back to the park—the Lymia park.

I look back and the Animal was now very close to me. Okay I was thrown into a word of delima. Should I go back there to the park or stay back and allow the bear have it way with me?

I know both decisions mean death for me but at this point the Lymia park seem to be the ultimate option.

I was still running when I stumbled on a stone and fell down.

I tried standing up

standing up- keyword-tried.

But the bear came with full speed and pounce on me on the ground.

Okay I know I'm dead.

I closed my eyes as it dug it claws into my skin. I wait for it to start devouring me but instead I heard Kicks and pouch which made me open my to see another fierced creature attacking the Animal.

It was a wolf.

The wild and the bear starts fighting, but the wolf was having upper hand. He pounce on the bear and starts tearing it apart. The bear was roaring in pains yet the wolf didn't stop till it completely tear it apart. Once it was done, the wolf looked at me, his eyes were feiry red.

I brace myself as I know I'm next to be devoured and there's no way I'm escaping this but the wolf kept staring at me intently and before I knew it.

It was gone.

What??

"Are you okay?" I startle at the Sudden voice I heard beside me.

I look up to see A strange guy. He was average height, had coffee brown hair and his blue eyes were as calm as the sea.

"Who are you?" I asked, scared.

"I'm Wallace, the beta of limia park." He grinned, more like smirking. "Let's get out of here." He helped me stood up and ask me to follow him.

I know he's taking me back to the park so I didn't want to follow him. But wait...what was he even doing here? Did he found out I escaped?

"What are you doing here?" I asked and glumped.

"I should be asking you that.. we better get going. You don't want the Alpha to find you here." He said and I start following him.

"Now tell me what were you doing out there?" He broke the short silence as we were walking side by side.

"I—I just wanted to get some air." I robbed my nose.

'Really? That's the best lie you could come out with.'I mentally slapped myself.

He looked at me and he chuckled slightly obviously not believing me.

"Your choice of ventilation sure is one of a kind. What if you've gotten killed by that bear huh?" He said sarcastically and something in my gut told me he was that wolf..

That wolf who practically saved my life from the bear.

"Thank you" I found myself saying.

"Excuse me? For what?"

"I know you were that wolf right?" I asked. "Thank you so much." I added.

He just smiled with a nod.

Soon we arrived at the mansion once again. I walked fearfully behind him as he lead the way into the big living room.

"Wallace." A female voice called out and I looked up to see a very pretty girl walking towards us. "Where did you go I've been here since morning waiting for you." The girl whines.

"I'm sorry rena I was attending to some things."

"Things important than me huh?" She whined with a pout. Making her look so cute. the beta just chuckled.

She then turn her head and her brows raised as she sees me. "Omg who's this miss beauty? Is she the daughter of the moon goddess?" She joked making me smile.

I love her already. Both Wallace and I chuckled.

"So tell me. Who's she ?" She adds abruptly.

"She's the um..."

"I'm dacianna. Call me dacianna." I Interrupted Wallace knowing fully well he's gonna refer me as a Slave which I hates so much.

"I mean what are you doing here? It's the first time I'm seeing you here." She shrugged facing me.

"Well let's just say She's not from this park." Wallace intervene.

"Oh. Very well then. Hope you aren't planning to dump me for her." She whines playfully like a baby.

"Off course not. I'm all your yours" Wallace says chuckling. Let me guess they are couples, one cute couples actually.

"You know I wouldn't be surprised though cause her beauty is out of the world. I'm sooo jealous" she soured her face like acid.

"So you said you had a suprise for me what's it?" Wallace clears his throat as he change the topic.

"C'mon like I'm gonna tell you now? It won't be a Suprise anymore. Let's go, the surprise is waiting for you.." She gingered pulling his wrist but he didn't budge.

"Wait... don't tell me it's another type of food again which you labels as your 'special delicacy' cause even though I admit I enjoy them, it's becoming stereotype" he says rolling his eyes. Making her frown. "Well you'll see." Still pulling his hand she turns to me. "Nice to meet you dacianna, see you around later." And with that she drags him away running out.

What a crazy fellow. It took me time to realize that I'm practically left all alone now in this living room.

Confused about what to do or where to go, I decided to sit on some random chair as I await my fate.

Not quite long, I heard prodding foot steps descending from the stairs. My head jolted toward the directions to see two people walking down the stairs. In front was himAlpha Lowell and behind him was the head maid, ma'am priyanka, lowering her head.

my heart sank at the sight of him. He was clad in a long blue coat, exposing his chest down to his abdomen. His long hair falling right behind him. As he approach me I froze, yet trying as much as possible to look him in his eyes.

He walks down with a baffled looking priyanka at the sight of me.

She gasp on seeing me.

The Alpha turns to face her angrily.

"I...I really thought she escaped." She was literally shaking like a jelly fish and In as much as I had my own problem to worry about, I felt quilty for her.

But wait... didn't she say he's a sweetheart to his subject, what's with the terror now?

"Get lost..." came the cold order from him.

The maid scurried away. Now his eyes were now soaring over me, boring holes into me.

"You...you seem to have a shallow knowledge of how a slave should act or behave" his spoke dangerously, calmly.

"I—I am sorry" even though I know it's pointless.

What exactly was I thinking when I decided to run? I know I was being stupid to make that drastic decision on my first trier so I wouldn't hold it against him for whatever he'll be doing to me but I just hope he doesn't go so brutal on me.

"I believe I ask pryakina to train you? How dare you have the gut-to be sitting right on my throne??" He yelled making me flinch his eyes hinting on the chair I was sitting on.

"I..what? I didn't know about that." I was a stuttering mess as I rose up immediately.

"I'm terribly sorry for that it won't happen again." I apologize with a shaky voice.

He shook his head and scoffed. "You keep breaking rules don't you? You don't beg me have you forgotten? so as such your punishment is doubled now follow me." He declared in a cold serene tone of voice and turned his back against me.
