Former Alpha Andrei stepped up beside his wife, placing a large, comforting hand on Glaznia’s shoulder before gesturing toward a cobblestone path winding deeper into the woods. "The barrier shields around the main house will mask your magical signatures. Marcus’s scouts won't be able to trace where your spell landed." Glaznia took a deep breath, nodding as she wiped away the lingering moisture beneath her eyes. She turned to look at her sisters. Denise gave her a subtle, reassuring nod, her hand resting near her blade. Aurora offered a faint, tired smile, while Alexandra was still shooting side-glances at Demeter, who walked a few paces ahead of the group. The Alpha kept his distance, though his golden eyes flickered back toward Alexandra every few seconds, his jaw clenched tight. As they cleared the treeline, the Silvermoon main house came into view. It was a grand, sprawling manor constructed of dark oak timber and river stone, surrounded by high wooden palisades and ancient protective runes carved into the perimeter rocks. Pack members milling about the courtyard bowed respectfully to Andrei and Leona, though their curious, wary eyes lingered on the four girls. Leona pushed open the heavy double doors of the manor, stepping into a massive, warm great hall anchored by a roaring stone hearth. "Welcome to the Silvermoon Keep," Leona said, turning back to face the four goddesses. "Rest your feet, drink, and eat. Once you've caught your breath, we will discuss how to fulfill the prophecy—and how we bring down King Marcus together." "We barely know anything about the prophecy, Luna Leona," I admitted, my voice dropping. "I just really hope we can actually help." She offered me a warm, gentle smile before signaling a young girl with bright red hair to step forward. "Delia, show them to the west wing," Luna Leona ordered softly. "They need rest, and we have a very long conversation ahead of us tomorrow." The girl nodded quickly, grabbing Denise and Alexandra by their hands to lead the way. "Go get some rest first," Leona said to me, giving my back a gentle push toward Aurora. "We'll discuss everything we need to do in the morning." Upon reaching the west wing of the pack house, we were greeted by a massive oak door at the end of the corridor. "This will be your quarters, everyone," Delia explained, gesturing toward the surrounding staircases. "To the right, there's a small staircase that goes up to the second floor north wing where Alpha Demeter's room is located. The one on the left leads down to the garden." We all nodded in understanding. "Your suite includes a private kitchen if you want to cook your own meals," she continued. "Or if you'd rather have hot, prepared food, just head down to the main kitchen. The morning buffet is set up early every day." "Thank you, Delia," Alexandra replied gently. "I think we're good from here. We'll probably just turn in and get some rest." “Okay! Just call me if you need anything else. I’ll be in the kitchen” she said before leaving. The heavy oak door clicked shut, locking out the low hum of the Silvermoon pack and leaving the four goddesses in blessed, solitary quiet. "Damn," Denise muttered, staring at the lavish spread before us. "This suite just slapped us in the face with our own poverty." The guest quarters were surprisingly luxurious for a werewolf stronghold—spacious, with plush velvet armchairs, a crackling stone fireplace, and two massive four-poster beds adorned with thick fur blankets. “I agree, i mean back then we live in luxury but after spending time with the human side this is extravagant” i said. High arched windows overlooked the pine-draped mountains, letting in the cool mountain breeze. Denise was the first to move. She practically threw herself onto the nearest bed, face-first, letting out a long, muffled groan into the down pillows. "If I have to process one more life-altering revelation today, my brain is going to leak out of my ears," Denise mumbled, her voice buried in wool. "Goddess bloodlines, ancient prophecies, and now wolf politics. I miss when our biggest problem was hiding our extra dessert from the temple priestesses." Aurora crossed the room, unstrapping her ice-infused dagger and tossing it casually onto a side table. She slumped into a leather armchair by the fire, stretching her legs out toward the warmth. “Oh, come on, Denise. You're just mad you didn't get to stab the handsome Alpha when he growled at us." "I was this close," Denise snapped, rolling over to glare at the ceiling, though a faint smirk tugged at her lips. "He had the audacity to step into my shadow aura. I could've tripped him into the river." Glaznia let out a breathless laugh, unpinning her radiant hair and letting it fall around her shoulders. The heavy weight in her chest—the suffocating grief from her memories—was finally beginning to lighten, lifted by the familiar, easy rhythm of her sisters. "To be fair to the 'handsome Alpha,'" Glaznia said, leaning against the bedpost with a teasing grin, "I don't think he was trying to attack all of us." All three girls immediately turned their heads toward Alexandra. Alexandra, who had been pacing back and forth near the window with her arms tightly crossed, froze mid-step. She blinked, looking around at their expectant faces. "What? Why are you all staring at me?" "Oh, I don't know," Aurora drawled, twirling a small shard of ice between her fingers. "Maybe because his eyes turned literal molten gold the second he laid eyes on you? He looked like he was deciding whether to eat you or marry you." Aurora giggled, "Neither sounds particularly appealing," Alexandra huffed, her cheeks flushing a light pink despite her best efforts to look unimpressed. She tossed her hair over her shoulder. "The guy is arrogant, overly dramatic, and needs a serious lesson in personal space. Did you hear how he addressed us? 'Close your mouths, girls.' Who says that?!" "To be clear," Denise chimed in from the bed, raising a single finger, "his face is an eleven out of ten. Pure marble statue material. But the moment he opened his mouth? Instant point deduction down to a solid three." "Thank you!" Alexandra threw her hands up in dramatic agreement. "Finally, someone with sense! I don't care if his mother wears a pretty tiara or if some ancient prophecy mentions 'the wolf and the mist.' If he tries to growl at me again, I'm filling his lungs with fog until he coughs up hairballs." Alexandra angrily said. Glaznia laughed aloud, stepping over to bump her shoulder against Alexandra's. "I'd pay good money to see that, honestly. But seriously, Alex... you felt it too, didn't you? When he walked close?" Alexandra quieted down, her defensive posture dropping just a fraction. She looked out the window, toward the training grounds below where Demeter was currently barking orders at a group of guards. She let out a soft, reluctant sigh. "It felt like... static electricity," Alexandra admitted quietly, rubbing her forearm. "Like the air got magnetic all of a sudden. It was weird." "It's the mate bond," Aurora said softly, her playful tone dropping into something far more tender. She reached out, patting Alexandra's hand. "Whatever your grandmother set in motion with that prophecy, it's real. But you don't have to rush into anything, Alex. We're a pack of our own first. Always." "Goddesses first, wolf boy second," Denise agreed, tossing a pillow straight at Alexandra's head. Alexandra caught the pillow mid-air with lightning speed, a genuine, warm smile breaking across her face. "Definitely." She said. Glaznia walked over to the hearth, stoking the embers until a warm, golden glow illuminated the entire room. She looked around at her three sisters—tired, bruised, and hunted, but still standing together. "We made it through the war," Glaznia said gently, her eyes sweeping over them. "We made it to the Silvermoon territory. Tomorrow, we figure out how to take back our world. But tonight... we rest." I said to them earning a gentle smile from them. "Amen," Denise muttered, burying herself back under the covers. "Wake me up only if the house is on fire or if someone brings food."
