The Imprisoned God

"My ploy helped this time, didn't it?" "Well, thanks to you, everyone is happy." In the underground secret silver prison, Aiden and prisoner 4001, the "Holy Maiden" Melifillia, were several metres apart, chatting on a small table while playing a game of Monopoly - this time, they were playing a simple version of Monopoly. This time, they were playing a simple version of Monopoly. This time, it was thanks to the secret strategy provided by Melifioria that she was able to successfully overturn the case of Veronica, a death row inmate. And so Aiden had kept his promise to visit her in the dungeon once more in the near future - it just so happened that Aiden was already obliged to monitor her on a regular basis. "So, I wonder if I have any extra rewards?" Melifillia grinned. "Didn't I play the game with you the whole night before?" Aiden swept her up. "And that's considered a dismissal? You're not even that mean to the most antagonistic prisoner up there." "What, you still want to go out for a walk? You're not like them, you're not an inmate of the Rosebud Iron Prison and different regulations apply." Aiden responded calmly, "The holy nails on your body, just touching them is enough to send me to prison." "I'm at least a god, am I that out of line with you?" "You're also just a prisoner in my eyes, where does a prisoner get a row?" Aiden gave her an unconcerned blank stare. "If you ask me, that's where you're most different from the rest of the world, your lack of reverence for the gods." "Unfortunately, I happen to come from a world where gods don't exist - well, at least that's what I believe." Aiden's eyes were fixed on the board, "Say, I don't see that the people of this world fear you much, or how else would they have the nerve to keep you in prison?" "It's precisely because of fear that I'm locked up, ah, apart from you, all the humans who come to see me, whether they come to spy on me or to worship me, will have their faces covered and won't even dare to utter a single breath in front of me, and only you will dare to strut around so much in front of me." Melifillia moved the pieces with her mind power, "I was thinking, if you're willing to turn the tables on the innocent, why wouldn't you be willing to help me get a little freedom?" "You?" Aiden lifted his face, "You want to claim innocence? I have memories of this world, and the crimes your Order committed in this world are too numerous to mention, not to mention that this body you're using now is a human life." Melifillia was found and taken in by the former Aiden and the elite of the Heresy Judgement Bureau when they destroyed the stronghold of a cult called "Blood Red Full Moon". She is the deity worshipped by the Blood Moon Cult. However, Melifillia is not the name of the god, but the name of an ordinary girl who was taken as a living sacrifice by the believers who summoned the god - for some reason, she came to this world in the form of taking over the body of a young girl named Melifillia. And as a price, the memories and personality of the young girl, Melifillia, were thus completely devoured by this god. "If you insist on saying it, the criminal things were all done by my believers, I didn't ask them to do anything ...... It was the same when they summoned me to this world, I was just a little interested in their prayers and rituals. In the end, it was me who got bored with them and turned around and helped you guys destroy the Order. As a result, you guys are treating me with harsher standards than ordinary prisoners, don't you think that's unjust?" "Not really." Aiden shook his head without hesitation. "Geez, you humans always talk about equality before the law, I thought you revered justice." Melifillia gave a surprised look. "You may have a little misunderstanding, human rules, or laws, are never something equal and just, sometimes a country will introduce laws that harm other countries in order to safeguard its own interests, and the ruling class may also use the law to exploit other classes. The law is a tool to safeguard the interests of the ruling class. It is sometimes just and noble, and sometimes it may be contrary to morality. But if we look at it from the perspective of all mankind, all the rules laid down by mankind, whether they are laws or moral standards, at the root of it all, what they really maintain is only the stable order on which man relies to live, and the order may not always be just and reasonable." "Order?" "Yes, there are too many humans, so many that individuals cannot survive without order to keep the group functioning. Answer me one question first, would you be willing to follow the rules set down by humans?" Aiden asked, looking Melifillia in the eye. "Of course not." Melifillia answered dryly, then asked back, "If you found a colony of ants on the ground, would you be willing to follow the rules of ants?" "That's right, you wouldn't be willing to follow human rules, and your presence in this world is a huge risk factor to the concept of 'order' in the human community. The law upholds order, and the existence of a god is a great threat to human order, meaning that the very existence of a god is sinful to mortals." Aiden elaborated on his theory, "It may be against morality, but preserving one's existence is the first justice of all races that want to survive." "God's theory of original sin?" Melifillia raised an eyebrow. "Yes. If a god appears in the human world, the safest thing for humans to do would be to keep it in prison, and only a fool would pull it out to worship it, unless that would indeed keep the god from disrupting the human order at minimal cost. If the god can show goodwill and not disrupt the human order or even go so far as to maintain it, for cost reasons humans can either not consider controlling it or even morally hold it in worship, minimising the risk in that way. But you are clearly not that kind of god. Knowing what I know about you, if you had a button in your hand to destroy half of humanity, you'd probably push it for fun. Putting a god like you out there? Unless I'm crazy." "Geez that's weird, I'd actually think you'd make some sense ......" "But to be honest, I'm more worried about your followers than you." Aiden let out a long sigh, "You're just ignoring the laws of mankind with playfulness, but those lunatics, however, will take aim at the law and the law against them." "If 'he' knows I'm here, he might run over and rob the prison oh." Melifillia grinned. "Never, I don't want another bullet in my chest." Aiden touched his chest with a helpless expression. The "Blood Red Full Moon" sect was indeed destroyed, and even the god worshipped by the sect was imprisoned, but the sect's founder was not only still at large, but his true identity had not even been revealed yet. From the memory fragments that Aiden inherited, it seems that the former Aiden most likely died at the hands of the mysterious founder of the Order. Aiden did not have any intention of "revenge", in the end, he and the former owner of this body could not be considered the same person. However, he knew very well that in this world, the unidentified fanatic was a threat to him. "If you're afraid, I can help you too. As long as you are willing to help me pull out a holy nail, I can give you a little 'blessing'." Melifillia advised in a compelling tone. "My principle is not to trust random prisoners." Aiden refused without hesitation, "That said, what reason do you have for choosing to help me over worshipping your own believers?" "Mortal homage is useless to a god, and I'm sure I'm still more interested in a piece like you that will run blindly around the board on its own, which I can't predict, than an ordinary piece that will only act according to the will of the player." Melifioria looked at him with interest. "So that's actually the reason you summoned me to this world?" "Who knows?" As usual, Melifillia gave a tight-lipped smile.
