Prisoner 4001

At night, the warden's office. "In that case ...... "After listening to Aiden's account, Veronica lowered her eyes, "So, the possibility of overturning the case, should be very low." Once again brought to the warden's office for an interview with Aiden, she listened to Aiden explain the situation at hand. "At least, for the time being, I can't think of any way to break this deadlock." Aiden sighed as well. Veronica was silent for a while, and suddenly let out a long breath as if she was relieved, then tried to pull up the corners of her mouth to smile, "Never mind, it's fine, you've done your best, Warden. I've already looked away, I'm an orphan, I have no family or friends, I have nothing to worry about. Finally being able to meet a good person like you, Warden, has already been considered a good thing that happened to me on my deathbed." Aiden frowned and stared at Veronica for a while, and suddenly came up with, "Were you locked up stupid after staying here for a few days?" "Eh?" Veronica was confused. "No, being wrongly accused of carrying a black pot to the gallows, how can you look away from such a thing? Definitely have to die in peace, right, even as a ghost you can't let those people go!" Aiden stared at her, "At least have some backbone, can't you, after helping you for so long, I haven't even given up yet, what are you admitting defeat for? Even if the execution is going to happen tomorrow, you have to be ready to file a retrial petition!" After being completely convinced of Veronica's innocence, he made up his mind to help her overturn her case. Having devoted himself to prison guards for two lives, he still had that much affection for his profession. A prison guard's duty was to manage and rehabilitate criminals, and executing a sentence for someone who was innocent was as hard for him as eating a fly. What's more, today this villain actually dared to ride his face and taunt him, but anyone with a bit of temper definitely couldn't endure it. "But ...... "Veronica was so stunned by this startled fellow that she couldn't even be bothered to sulk for a moment, "Didn't you say that there's nothing you can do about it? Even if you don't give up, what can you do?" "Just because I can't think of anything doesn't mean others can't." Aiden clasped his hands together, "I know of one 'person' who might know what to do ...... Since there's nothing you can do either, I'll just have to try and ask her." "Who?" Veronica blinked. Aiden swept her a look, "Secrets." "You ...... couldn't have told me that on purpose because you were afraid I'd kill myself in prison." Veronica looked at Aiden skeptically, "Count me as begging you, don't give me hope for nothing and then let me despair in the end, not many people ...... can withstand this kind of thing." "I'm just being honest, first of all, I'm not obliged to take care of your feelings. Helping you to this point, I've already been kind. This is your fight, and it's your own obligation to make it to the end, no matter what the outcome." Aiden said getting up and putting on his hat, "Go back to your room, I'm going to see the man now, we don't have much time to waste." After delegating his handful of wardens to send Veronica away, Aiden made sure that the corridor was deserted in all directions before returning to his office to remove a painting on the wall, revealing a safe embedded in the wall. This safe was used to contain some of the more confidential documents in this prison, only the warden had the right to open it, Aiden would only use it occasionally. But this time, Aiden wasn't planning to open this safe. He took out three different keys and inserted them into the twisted keyholes lined up in a row, and then began to operate the turntable combination lock on the safe, but entered a very different combination than usual. As a matter of course, the door to the safe didn't open, but one of the floor tiles in front of Aiden's desk gave an unlocking clang and then slid silently to one side, revealing the secret passage underneath, which was a downward spiral staircase that led to the dark underground. Aiden retrieved the key, scrambled the combination lock, and repositioned the wall painting before taking one of the lamps on the shelf and lighting it, and stepping into the secret passage. Once inside he casually pulled one of the sliders on the step wall and the floor tiles slid once more, sealing the entrance. Aiden held the lamp all the way down, the underground space ruled by darkness was silent, only the sound of his footsteps echoed here, as if there was another transparent person walking behind him. Finally, he arrived at the lowest level, a huge dark room, which was empty, except for a door. A huge cell door made of secret silver that took up an entire wall. The turntable combination lock, the magic trap that automatically meets the attack, the hexagram alchemy sealing spell formation, the vigilance measures that are present on the door that monitors the core area of the spirit ...... This cell door has all of the same things, not only that, but the door is also engraved with several kinds of special runes classified as f*******n by the Heretic Judgement Bureau, densely arranged in a spiral geometric layout on the top, looking shocking. It was shocking to look at. These were all attack runes, not used to strengthen the cell door, but used to completely destroy the prisoner and this underground space when they sensed that the prisoner inside had broken through, burying her and this dungeon together. This dungeon was directly underneath the warden's office, and to be honest Aiden was very sceptical of the soundness of the design. Although the high level of the Heresy Judgement Bureau that handed this matter over to him had emphasised to him that the foundations of this area had been specially reinforced as well as this dungeon, and that even if the dungeon exploded the prison above ground would be fine. But Aiden was still worried that one day he was sitting in his office, writing a document properly, when suddenly there was a loud bang underground, and he was martyred in a volcano eruption-like fire. What's more, he felt that most of these so-called f*******n techniques couldn't kill that woman. The existence of the prisoner locked inside was a taboo in itself. One by one, he undid the blockade on the cell door, and finally bit through a finger and smeared blood into a groove on the door - a door that only he had the authority to open in this prison. Accompanied by the sound of gears biting together, the secret silver cast door caved in layer after layer, and the strongest cell of this Rosebud Iron Prison was finally presented in front of Aiden's eyes. The entire cell was made of secret silver as well as the cell door, the woman with long hair was tied to the execution rack at the end of the cell, her palms, the backs of her feet and the joints of her hands and feet were all tied with long and weirdly shaped nails, her head was tilted and her eyes were closed tightly, so peaceful as if she was a corpse. The moment Aiden stepped into the cell, the sleeping woman slowly opened her eyes. "Good evening, Prisoner 4001," Aiden greeted her with an expressionless face. "So you've finally come to see me again, my dear warden." Prisoner 4001 flashed him a smile, her silver-grey eyes reflecting Aiden's figure as he held the carrying lamp.
