Sudden Inspection

1384 Words
"No!" At the core of the prison, Fier in room 13 let out a desperate cry. "Oooh, don't know if you don't check, once you check you actually hid so many goodies." Aiden stood aside with his hands clasped, surveying with interest the contraband that the other guards had retrieved from room thirteen and listed in front of him. Gambling cards and dice, cosmetics, hair cards, large bills, small particles of precious metals, banned books, vibrating crystals ...... The items searched out of Phil's personal belongings alone actually managed to take up a third of the list. If it wasn't for Veronica's reaction to seeing the list before, Aiden wouldn't have thought of a surprise inspection today. When Veronica asked him with a surprised look on her face, he guessed that it must be the cards that Faye had secretly taken out as contraband to play with her before. "Traitor! It's obvious that I took care of you so much when we used to share a room! To think that you would give me up as soon as you took office, I was wrong about you!!!" Faye stared at Veronica behind Aiden with an aggrieved face and shouted an accusation. "I ...... didn't mean it, sorry." Veronica's face was apologetic, looking at Faye's miserable appearance as if she wanted to write the word "miserable" in blood, she could not help but feel sympathy. "Don't just apologise to a prisoner, this one is simply to blame." Aiden twisted his head and educated Veronica. He then turned to Faye and was about to open his mouth when Faye suddenly shined a flying leap at his thigh: "Lord Aiden!" Fortunately, Aiden had already anticipated that she would come this way, and took a dodging step back, then grabbed Veronica's shoulder and pushed her in front of him as a shield. "Eh?" Before Veronica could react, she was almost tripped by Faye's grip on her thigh. "Tsk." As soon as Faye saw that she had hugged the wrong target, she immediately let go of Veronica and once again stared at Aiden. "You hug me again and I'll leave a shoe print on your face." This time prepared, Aiden raised one foot in warning. If he was hugged by Phil's thighs, this nuisance would never let go easily. Phil immediately with a bitter face towards Aiden pleaded: "I don't know these are prohibited goods, you just give me a break, forgive me this time, I--" "Willing to do anything, right?" Aidan took over for her, gesturing to pull out his ears, "You say this I've heard the ears are almost calloused, what are willing to do, then honestly abide by the rules don't give me trouble, okay? This is the fifth time you've been in here, and you're telling me you don't know that these are contraband, are you kidding me?" "It's true. ......" "Stuff confiscated, items disposed of, money and precious metals stored in your private vault and returned to you when you get out. Then you're in confinement for a day, treatment level transferred back, and that's it." Aiden announced the treatment plan in a flat tone. "Don't do it, people don't want this! Why are you doing this to me!!!" Faye began to splash and roll around on the ground. Aiden was not surprised by this and turned his head to the riot squad and said, "Drag it away." The two members of the riot squad seemed to be used to this scene as well, picking up the still struggling Faye with a left and a right and dragging her towards the confinement room. And then Aiden turned to the other inmate in room thirteen - inmate 3340, a new inmate who had only recently come in and been assigned to this room, looking to be in her mid-thirties, tall and graceful. Veronica recognised her as the kindly looking female inmate who had offered to greet Aiden in the small playground yesterday. "Warden." As soon as she met Aiden's eyes, she broke into a curt smile. "You're just the same, Inmate 3340, I thought you were a stickler for the rules." Aiden said picking up a glass vial with some pills in it. "I'm sorry, I got a little of my usual medication in here because I have rhinitis, and insomnia ......" Prisoner 3340 bowed his head submissively. "If you're sick, just go to the prison doctor, so many people here can't even think about getting sick enough to be lazy, you're pretty aggressive about treating yourself." Aiden c****d his head and stared hard at her lowered face, "It shouldn't be easy to get something like this in, who helped you get it in?" "This, I had my family sneak it in by mixing it into their personal belongings and bringing it in ...... I'm terribly sorry, I would never dare again." Prisoner 3340 lowered his face even lower. Aiden glanced from side to side, noticing that a number of the other female inmates who had been herded out into the corridor as a result of the raiding inmates were focusing their eyes this way. He lowered his voice and whispered a warning to Prisoner 3340 in her ear, "You've only got a few months left on your sentence I think, there's no need for you to mix it up so much in this prison. Don't even think about messing things up for me, got it?" Prisoner 3340 glanced at Aiden, and for a moment, her eyes sharpened. But in the end, she nodded her head and responded, "I don't understand what you're talking about, Warden, but since I'm the one who did the wrong thing, I'll definitely obey whatever punishment there is." "Good then." Aiden stood up straight and gave the results of the treatment gently, "Drugs disposed of, then five days of confinement." Prisoner 3340 raised his face with a few moments of surprise in his eyes. Even Veronica looked at Aiden twice with some surprise - the strength of this punishment was obviously much heavier than it was for Faye. "Any comments?" Aiden looked at prisoner 3340 expressionlessly. "None." Prisoner 3340 once again bowed his head submissively before following a guard away in the direction of the gate. As she passed by cell number eleven, she glanced at Ivantha, who was standing in front of the cell door. Ivantha looked at the prisoner in confusion, always feeling that the other person looked a little familiar, but she just couldn't remember. It seems like since last night, the brain is dizzy, always forgetting things ...... really strange. Yesterday evening, the small playground. "Mum?" Ivantha's eyes widened as she looked at the female prisoner who suddenly wanted to talk to her - the woman in front of her looked and sounded like the "mother" who had raised her, Merukino, and had been standing beside her for a while, but she had only just remembered. "Why are you here?" Evantha looked at the "mother" in front of her with surprise, and looked at the prison uniform she was wearing, as well as the number - 3340, which seemed to have just come in not long ago. "Came to get you out of here, of course, my Fanny." Merukino smiled lovingly, "You're your mother's favourite child, how could I bear to see you behind bars?" Save me ...... out? Questions suddenly popped up in Avantha's heart. Why? Obviously, when her older siblings were captured in the past, her mother had always been indifferent. "Although it's tempting to take you out of here right away, it'll still take some time to prepare. Until then, bear with it." Merukino said as she reached out her hand and touched the top of Avantha's head, "I'm happy enough to be able to recognise you like this now." Evantha felt the warm and soft touch through her hair - it was exactly the same as before. Then, her memory snapped. By the time she came back to her senses, the person in front of her was long gone. "What was I, doing?" She stood frozen in place. Was it while watching the ants that she got lost ...... She lowered her head again and saw the butterflies dismembered by the ants, and the ants returning to the anthill in a full array.
