Episode 3: The Awakening
The entire forest trembled.
For a few seconds, nobody moved.
Not Elena.
Not Adrian.
Not even the rogues standing outside the broken cabin.
Everything had gone completely silent.
Elena stood in the middle of the room, staring at her glowing hands.
Golden light flowed beneath her skin like fire moving through her veins.
Her heart was beating faster than ever.
But strangely, she wasn't afraid.
For the first time in her life, she felt something inside her that she had never felt before.
Strength.
Her wolf whispered inside her mind.
Elena...
"What is happening to me?"
Her wolf didn't answer immediately.
Then—
"I don't know."
Elena's eyes widened.
"You don't know?"
"I have never felt anything like this."
Outside, the rogue leader took one step forward.
His smile had disappeared.
He was staring at Elena as if he had just witnessed something impossible.
"The stories were true," he whispered.
Adrian immediately moved in front of Elena.
His wolf growled violently.
"Stay away from her."
The rogue leader laughed.
"Still protecting her?"
Adrian's eyes turned completely black.
"One more step and you won't leave this forest alive."
The rogue leader tilted his head.
"You still don't understand, Alpha."
His gaze moved past Adrian and landed on Elena.
"You're protecting the very thing your pack was built to fear."
Adrian's expression hardened.
"Who are you?"
The rogue leader smiled.
"My name is Darius."
He slowly raised his hand.
"And I have been searching for her for twenty-two years."
Elena's heart stopped.
Twenty-two years.
Her age.
She looked at Adrian.
"Why?"
Adrian didn't answer.
Darius laughed softly.
"Because when the Moon Queen disappeared, everyone thought her bloodline ended."
He pointed toward Elena.
"But it didn't."
Elena swallowed.
"My mother..."
Darius's smile returned.
"Yes."
The word hit her harder than any physical blow.
Elena stepped forward.
"What do you know about my mother?"
Adrian grabbed her wrist.
"Don't."
She looked at him.
"Why?"
"Because we don't know if he's telling the truth."
Darius laughed.
"Of course he doesn't want you to know."
Adrian's eyes flashed.
"Enough."
Darius looked amused.
"Ask your Alpha about the night your mother disappeared."
Elena froze.
She looked at Adrian.
"What is he talking about?"
Adrian's jaw tightened.
"Elena, we need to leave."
"No."
She pulled her hand away.
"You know something."
"I know what the pack records say."
"Then tell me."
Adrian remained silent.
Her eyes filled with anger.
"You came all the way here to find me. You said you were afraid of what I might become. You knew about this mark."
She pointed at her glowing chest.
"So tell me the truth."
Adrian looked at her.
For a moment, his expression softened.
Then he whispered—
"Your mother was not an ordinary wolf."
Elena's breath caught.
Darius stepped closer.
"She was the last Moon Queen."
The cabin suddenly filled with a violent gust of wind.
The golden light around Elena intensified.
The walls began to shake.
Adrian turned toward Darius.
"Stop provoking her."
"I'm not provoking her."
Darius smiled.
"I'm awakening her."
Suddenly, one of the rogues charged through the doorway.
Adrian turned instantly.
He shifted.
In a flash of silver fur, his wolf slammed into the attacker.
The rogue crashed into a tree outside.
Three more wolves attacked.
Adrian growled and fought them one after another.
Elena stood frozen.
She wanted to help.
But she didn't know how.
Another rogue lunged toward her.
Elena raised her hands instinctively.
"Stop!"
A golden wave exploded from her body.
The rogue was thrown backward as if an invisible force had struck him.
He flew several meters through the air and landed unconscious.
Elena stared at him.
Her hands were shaking.
"I... did that?"
Her wolf answered quietly.
"Yes."
Another rogue attacked.
This time Elena didn't think.
She simply raised her hand.
A wall of golden light appeared in front of her.
The rogue slammed into it.
A scream echoed through the forest.
Adrian stopped fighting for a moment.
He stared at Elena.
His wolf spoke inside his mind.
She isn't weak.
Adrian's heart tightened.
He already knew.
He had known from the moment he rejected her.
But seeing her power now made the truth impossible to ignore.
Elena wasn't the weak girl everyone believed her to be.
She had been hiding something.
Something even she didn't know existed.
Darius watched her carefully.
His expression was almost respectful.
"Beautiful."
Elena looked at him.
"Don't call me that."
Darius smiled.
"You sound just like your mother."
Elena's heart raced.
"You knew her?"
Darius nodded.
"I did."
"What happened to her?"
Darius's smile disappeared.
"She died because of your pack."
The golden light around Elena flickered.
Adrian stepped forward.
"That's enough."
Darius looked at him.
"Is it?"
Then he turned toward Elena.
"Ask him."
Elena stared at Adrian.
"Did my mother die because of the Silver Moon Pack?"
Adrian didn't answer.
That silence was enough.
Elena's eyes widened.
"Adrian?"
He lowered his gaze.
"I wasn't there."
"That's not what I asked."
He looked at her.
"The Alpha before me knew your mother."
"Who?"
Adrian hesitated.
"Alpha Marcus."
Elena's face went pale.
Her father's name had never been mentioned in her life.
She had grown up believing she had no family.
She had been told her mother died when she was very young.
No one had ever explained how.
No one had ever told her who her father was.
"Why didn't anyone tell me?"
Adrian's voice became quiet.
"Because your mother made them promise."
"Promise what?"
"To hide you."
Elena felt as though the ground had disappeared beneath her.
"From whom?"
Darius answered.
"From the people who wanted the Moon Queen's blood."
He looked at Elena.
"And they failed."
A howl echoed in the distance.
Darius turned toward the forest.
More wolves were approaching.
Adrian's instincts immediately returned.
"We need to go."
Elena shook her head.
"I'm not running anymore."
"Elena—"
"I've been running my entire life."
She looked at him.
"I ran because I thought I was weak."
Her golden eyes became brighter.
"But I'm not."
Adrian stared at her.
"No."
He stepped closer.
"You're not."
For a second, their eyes met.
Something moved between them.
The mate bond.
Even after the rejection, it was still there.
Elena felt it.
A painful warmth spread through her chest.
Adrian felt it too.
His wolf desperately wanted to pull her closer.
But Elena stepped away.
"Don't."
Adrian stopped.
Her voice was quiet.
"I haven't forgotten what you did."
"I know."
"You rejected me."
"I know."
"You made me believe I wasn't enough."
His expression filled with regret.
"I was wrong."
Elena looked away.
"You were."
A sudden explosion came from behind them.
The cabin wall shattered.
Adrian grabbed Elena and pulled her aside.
A massive black wolf landed inside the cabin.
Its eyes glowed red.
Darius's expression changed.
"That's impossible."
Adrian shifted immediately.
The black wolf attacked.
The two wolves collided.
The force of the impact shook the ground.
Elena stepped backward.
Her wolf growled.
That's not a normal rogue.
"What is it?"
"Something else."
The black wolf slammed Adrian into the ground.
Elena screamed.
"Adrian!"
Something inside her snapped.
Golden flames erupted from her body.
She didn't know how to control them.
She simply moved.
The black wolf froze.
Elena raised her hand.
"Get away from him."
The creature growled.
Then something impossible happened.
The black wolf lowered its head.
It bowed.
Elena stared at it.
"What?"
Darius stepped backward.
"No..."
Adrian slowly got to his feet.
"What is it?"
Darius's face had gone completely pale.
"The Moon Queen's command."
Elena looked at him.
"What does that mean?"
Darius whispered—
"Every wolf with ancient blood must obey her."
The black wolf suddenly shifted.
A tall man appeared where the creature had stood.
He was covered in blood.
He looked directly at Elena.
Then he knelt.
"Your Highness."
Elena's mouth fell open.
Adrian stared in disbelief.
Darius clenched his fists.
"You."
The man ignored him.
His eyes remained on Elena.
"The Queen has awakened."
Elena took a step back.
"I'm not a queen."
The man smiled sadly.
"You don't remember."
"Remember what?"
He looked at her forehead.
"The night the palace burned."
Elena's head suddenly began to hurt.
A flash appeared in her mind.
Fire.
Screaming.
A woman holding her.
A silver crown.
Someone shouting—
"Take the child!"
Elena grabbed her head.
"Stop!"
Another image.
Her mother.
She was crying.
She placed a small pendant around Elena's neck.
Then she whispered—
"Never let them know who you are."
Elena opened her eyes.
Tears were running down her face.
"My mother..."
The man nodded.
"She saved you."
"From whom?"
His expression became dark.
"From the king."
Elena froze.
"What king?"
The man looked toward Darius.
Darius suddenly turned and ran.
Adrian growled.
"Don't let him escape!"
Several wolves chased him.
But Darius disappeared into the darkness.
The strange man remained kneeling.
Elena stared at him.
"Who are you?"
"My name is Kael."
"Why did you call me Your Highness?"
Kael lowered his head.
"Because I served your mother."
Elena couldn't speak.
"My mother was really the Moon Queen?"
"Yes."
"And my father?"
Kael hesitated.
Elena noticed.
"Tell me."
Kael looked at Adrian.
Then back at her.
"Your father is alive."
Silence.
Elena's heart stopped.
"What?"
Adrian's eyes widened.
Kael continued.
"Your mother believed he was dead."
"But he wasn't?"
"No."
"Where is he?"
Kael's expression became complicated.
"That is the problem."
Elena stepped closer.
"Where is my father?"
Kael whispered—
"He is the King of the Blood Moon."
Adrian's face went pale.
The Blood Moon King.
Even he knew the name.
Every pack had heard the legends.
The most powerful wolf king in history.
A ruler who had disappeared twenty-two years ago.
A ruler whose army had nearly destroyed half the supernatural kingdoms.
A ruler everyone believed dead.
Elena shook her head.
"No."
Kael nodded.
"Yes."
"You're lying."
"I wish I were."
Elena turned toward Adrian.
"Is this true?"
Adrian didn't answer.
She saw the fear in his eyes.
Not fear of her.
Fear for her.
"Adrian."
He finally spoke.
"The Blood Moon King is real."
Elena's heart sank.
"Who is he?"
Adrian looked at her.
"We don't know his real name."
Kael corrected him.
"I do."
Adrian's eyes narrowed.
Kael looked directly at Elena.
"His name is Lucian."
The pendant around Elena's neck suddenly became hot.
Elena grabbed it.
The moment her fingers touched the pendant, the forest went completely silent.
Then a deep voice echoed through her mind.
Elena.
She froze.
It wasn't her wolf.
It wasn't Adrian.
It wasn't Kael.
It was a man's voice.
A voice she had never heard before.
Yet somehow...
Her heart recognized it.
My daughter.
Elena's eyes widened.
"No..."
The voice came again.
You finally awakened.
She dropped to her knees.
Adrian rushed toward her.
"Elena!"
She pushed him away.
"Don't touch me!"
Adrian stopped.
Elena's eyes filled with tears.
"My father..."
Kael looked frightened.
"What did you hear?"
Elena looked at him.
"He spoke to me."
Kael's face went pale.
"That's impossible."
"He said I'm his daughter."
Adrian looked toward the dark forest.
Then he sensed something.
A presence.
Powerful.
Ancient.
Terrifying.
His wolf growled.
Someone is watching us.
Adrian turned.
Between the trees stood a figure.
A man.
Tall.
Dressed completely in black.
His eyes glowed deep red.
He didn't move.
He simply stared at Elena.
Elena's heart began pounding.
The stranger smiled.
Then he whispered—
"Hello, daughter."
The golden mark on Elena's chest exploded with light.
The entire forest fell to its knees.
And Adrian realized the truth too late.
The rogues had never come to capture Elena.
They had come to bring her father back to her.
And the Blood Moon King had finally found his daughter.
