The Lone Wolf and Her Twin Kings

This is Just The Beginning

Chapter Four: this is just the beginning.

                   Amira’s prov.

I laid down next to the river looking at my reflection when I heard a twig snap from behind me. I growled and looked only to see little children hid behind trees, they were coming from that village that got attacked by rouges.

          I felt bad so I whined, and they peered around the tree looking at me. I wagged my tail and dropped my ears in a sad way. They smiled and ran to me.

 One was a little girl  she had blonde hair and brown eyes with freckles that made a mask around her eyes, and the other child was a boy. He looked the same but without the freckles.

The girl was on my left and sat in between my paws but closer to the left one so her brother can sit on the right side.

She touched my lower check and smiled,

“Your so soft like a teddy bear and your wolf is pretty I hope my wolf is like yours. I’m Lacy and this is Cole.” She whispered in my ear I liked her forehead and she giggled.

Then Cole snuggled up to my chest, “Your fur is so warm it’s like a fuzzy blanket.”

I snorted and laughed, and they did the same. They snuggled up to me and fell asleep which I did not mind I was going to keep guarding them until their parents arrived.

It got me thinking how my life would be with pup.

‘Don’t dream on that too hard sense we rejected our mates.’ Adria said

          It was about an hour before I heard another twig c***k, I growled loudly which woke the children they ran and stood between the river and me. Whatever it was, I was going to protect these children after all they did nothing wrong and they are on my territory.

          I shifted and pulled the children close to me.

          “Don’t let go of my shirt okay.” I said looking over my shoulder at them.

They just nodded their heads I face the tree line again.

          “Who’s there show yourself or pay the consequences for trespassing.” I yelled.

          “Please ma’am I’m just looking for my children they said they wanted to play in the backyard, but I couldn’t find them.” She said with pure panic.

          What do they look like and what are their names?” I asked making sure that these are her children.

          “They look the same blonde hair brown eyes, except for my daughter has freckles it looks like she’s wearing a mask on her face. My daughters name is Lacy and the other Cole.” She said as tears ran down her face that was filled with worry.

I looked over my shoulder and they nodded almost like they knew what I was going to ask.

          “I have your children they ended up on my territory I was relaxing by this river. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before I didn’t want to give the children away to just anyone.” I said as I walked towards her with her children holding my hands.

          “Oh, thank you ma’am your not like what they say truly your kind and caring you even protected my babies when you didn’t have to. I will warn you there are rumors that you are the devils daughter and that you s*******r everyone that comes onto your territory. Only a few speak nicely of you defending you and now you have my support as well.” She said as she took the children’s hands.

          She bowed down to me before walking away.

          “I only kill rouges because they kidnap or kill anyone that cant defend themselves or for sport. Ma’am once I get my place fixed if they show up, they will be inside where it’s warmer I didn’t want them in there with all the broken glass and things.” I told her.

“Thank you, Luna.” She said smiling and then turned to leave.

I did not waste any time I gathered some trees to make plywood or anything else that I might need and started on rebuilding the house, again.

                   Nick’s prov.

          The kings have been upset and depressed sense the queen rejected them both to be her mates so much that they have me babysitting her which it was not too hard to find her.

I witnessed what she was doing when the children walked up to her. she was guarding them with her life. When birds sang in the east, she snapped her head smelling the air to see if there was danger. When a squirrel broke a twig in a tree, she snapped her head that way and did the same thing with any noise. I also heard her tell one of our citizens about if her kids are found in her territory they would be in the house until someone comes to find them.

She was truly a queen, our queen, and one that we needed the most. Don’t get me wrong the kings are great kings but she has the heart and care for anyone that did nothing wrong and she sees justice, well okay somewhat but all I’m trying to say is she’s not punishing the people that didn’t do her any wrong. Heck the children trespassed and so did that mother usually that was the end of their life if it was anyone else.

          ‘But it’s not anyone else it’s the luna queen.’ My wolf, Lane said.

I agreed with him with our any doubt in my heart,

‘Your highnesses I found her, she’s in her territory she found two kids lost and roaming around in her territory she protected them until the parent of the children was looking for them. The children and the mother are unharmed and they where ones from the village that’s close by.’

‘Thank you for keeping us up to date please continue to make sure she’s okay until we need you. I’m sorry that this task is simple and or boring, but we appreciate you doing it for us.’ Darick said in a sad tone through the mind link.

          ‘You’re welcome if she fins me, I’ll let you kn-’ my mind link was interrupted with a voice behind me.

          “So, they sent you again?” I heard form behind me and then the kings where trying to link me, but I blocked them out. I shifted and bowed down respectfully.

“Come on I’m not going to let you sleep out here in the cold nights but if you stay here, I’m putting you to work understand.” She said .

“Yes, my queen.” I said and that was a mistake.

She had a look of surprised and then quickly covered it with anger.

“Don’t call me that.” She growled.

“I’m sorry, ma’am it will not happen again.” I told her with my hands up.

She shook her head,

“Amira is fine you don’t need to do the “formal manners”, now answer your alphas and then go to the pack house dinner will be cooking soon.” She said and walked away.

‘NICK ANSWER US!’ they both yelled.

‘Easy guys I’m not deaf well now I am. She found me she told me that I could stay but if I stayed id be helping her around the place, do you want me to proceed?’ I asked knowing that they would say yes in a heartbeat.

‘Yes please.’ They both said in excitement, see I told you. then they continued, and please see if you cant talk to her about what we told you the meeting was about.’ Drake asked and then cut the link.

I ran inside because it was getting dark and I could hear the howls of the rouges.

                   Amira prov.

          Once again they send someone to watch me so like I did the last time I invited Nick inside and left him to link the traders just so they wouldn’t panic and show up or send more f*****g royals, that’s the last thing I need to have.

          I know I am a royal myself but damn this pack is starting to get on my nerves, except for the villagers they do not bother me as much as the rest of them. Granted they do have to obey the alpha kings, so I feel for them.

          I finished cooking a whole chicken some sausages, mash potatoes and cookies for dessert I also made some lemonade for Nick.

          He came through the door and put the clothes I laid out for him on and entered the dining room.

“It smells delicious thank you for letting me stay here. Whatever you need just let me know.” He said and sat down and dug in.

“You can have whatever room you would like, unlike the last time because you all decided to go into the basement and office and mine room, the only rooms that where off limits the last time you where here. You still can’t go into my room that is still off limits to you, and ill respect you by not going inside the room of your choosing.” I said a little irritated.

“I’ll stick with the room you gave me the last time if you are okay with that.” He told me.

I stood up and grabbed his empty plate and used my vampire speed to put them in the sink washing them and go back into the dining room with the cookies.

“That’s alright with me.” I told him while setting the cookies down on the table.

“You’re hurting…” he said which caught me off guard.

“I’m sorry?” I said squinting my eyes in confusion.

“Emotionally your hurting, you miss your pack very much. I can see its eating you up every day that I was here.”

“How would you know that.” I said curious on how he knew.

“Because when you rejected my kings, they looked the way you do right now.” He said and got up and picked up the plate that was now empty and washed it.

I just sat there dumb founded that he said that. I shook my head and stood up pushing in my chair. I met him in the hall, and we said our goodnights.

I woke up to crying and screaming that came from outside. I jumped out of my opened window and ran towards where the creaming came from, I knew Nick would hear it to and be on his way.

I saw two rouges cornering the two small children that got lost in my territory the other day. I shifted into my wolf and killed them both. laid down so they could get on my back. they did after they heard another howl from rouges, and I ran full speed to my house.

          Nick was in his wolf form at the door and he ran and jumped on one of the wolves that bit my leg. He dragged the body inside after putting on some clothes.

          “How many?”

“Five or six left, here put the wolf body in this room.” I said pointing to the mortuary. And examined the children to make sure no one was hurt.

Other them the cuts here and there they were just scared I grabbed the first aid and dabbed the blood off they healed themselves just fine, so I didn’t have to do much.

“You are hurt Luna.” The girl said and then when Nick rounded the corner she spoke again, “Nick you’re here?” she started to sob.

“What are you two doing out you know that’s dangerous.” He growled.

“We heard someone saying something about someone.” Cole said.

“So, I got up and looked out the window I saw rouges watching inside windows looking at whatever was inside the houses and then there was a rouge standing there watching us in our window. He said if we followed him out and kept quiet, he wouldn’t hurt our parents.” The little girl said.

I looked at Nick the rouges no longer step foot in my territory, so they went around to fine them.

“I know what your thinking.” Nick said.

“Well looks like I’m patrolling first tell your kings that they need to send someone over here to take over because these innocent people are not my responsibility.” I told him I got up but then two little hands grabbed my fingers.

“Please stay with us Luna besides your hurt.” The little girl said.

Nick tensed as he heard what she called me.

“Don’t worry Nick is going to protect you in this house and ill guard the house from the outside you cant sleep in the room across from Nick’s okay.” I said sweetly to them they nodded, and Nick lead them into the room.

I ran outside while closing the door behind me and shifted into my best warrior form, yes you guessed it half and half.

I ran to their parents house and knocked on the door. A man came to open the door with a mean look when he noticed it was me, he let me in and changed his look to confusion.

“Why are you here Luna?” he said as I heard the mother come down their hallway to see what is going on.

I changed into my human form,

“Grab everything you can carry including the children’s things they were kidn*pped but I rescued them they are at my pack house with Nick.” I told them grabbing bags that I found.

“Why is Nick with you?” the mother said.

“I’ll explain everything later right now your children are worried that the rouge that kidnaped them have killed you. you will be staying with them in the main pack house.” I told them and then added, “ We must hurry there are a lot of rouges outside.”

They rushed around and with in five minutes they where ready to go I shifted into my wolf form and laid down. They got on even though they were on sure about it until they heard a howl close by.

I busted through the closed door and was outrunning the rouges by a long shot this time. I made it to the front door and let them off just in time to bite the first rouge in the neck as he tried the bit the woman that closed the door.

                   Nicks Prov.

          ‘Alpha’s I’m sorry to bother you at this time bu-’

‘This better be important I was having a good dream.’ Drake said interrupting me.

‘There was rouges invading the village she rescued the two children that was with her the other day because they were surrounded. She also grabbed their parents because the rouges threatened the kids that their parents were going to be killed if they did come back to their territory with them. Amira was hurt a little, right now she is guarding the place until you guys find warriors that can protect these people. Also, maybe you can see about having a meeting with her and see if she will not work with you. It would be a start on building the trust back.’ I finished.

‘That’s a great idea and okay ill send someone over and for the love of the moon goddess Drake stop growling.’ Darick said and then they closed the link.

                   Amira prov.

          I ran laps until I was greeted with a rouge attacking me from the side. I broke its neck before it could do anything then a group of wolves showed up.

          “Are you the warriors we asked for?” I asked in my normal voice they nodded their head after bowing to me.

          “Thank you how ever your kings told you to guard your land you may do so. You can use my pack house as a home I have plenty of rooms for you all to sleep in. just don’t go into my room my office my morgue or my basement and you will not me kicked out are we clear?”

          They nodded their heads bowed and some left to the woods the rest followed me to the pack house.

          “We have the children sleeping in a room let me give you guys clothes and you can go in a room to put them on ill make you all food and I would like to know who’s in charge of this group so I can call them by name.”

“That would be brad.” Nick said to me as he turned around the corner. “Also, the children kind of took over your bedroom.” He said worried.

          “At this point I don’t mind the children in there Nick.” I looked at all the wolves and a blonde haired with blue eyes came forward waiting for me to tell them what to do, then I continued, “Brad please join me in my office when you finish eating it’s the door on the left of the stair case.” I them turned and prepared the food I ran plates out to the ones outside and told them they can leave the dishes on the front porch.

          They thanked me and ran inside.

          As soon as I walked in the door, I saw the dinning room full of a few women and men and the two kids. They both saw me and ran to me,

          “LUNA!!” they said and hugged me tightly.

“Please children eat your food and please call me Amira.”

“So, your not our queen luna, mommy said you were.” The girl said with a sad face.

I kneeled down and smiled at her,

“It’s complicated please give me time I still have trouble with things okay.” Trying to tell them nicely that I did not want to be luna will I do but I am not even ready.

She smiled nodded and they both ran back to their seats when I looked up everyone was staring at me. I gave them and evil glare and went into my office.

There was an oval shaped desk with about twenty-two chairs around it in the right side of the room, and tow couch sets on the left of the room. then in the back of the room my desk was to the side of a window.

After an hour of doing paper work that my dad never finished when he was alive and keeping the peace treaties that he had even though most of the packs don’t want to be in an alliance with just one pack member I kept the papers organized and filed just in case. I then heard a knock,

“You may enter.” I said without looking up, “Please have a seat ill be with you shortly.” I spoke again and quickly finished my paperwork while Brad and Nick sat down in the chairs next to me.

“I hope you don’t mind Nick came with me.” Brad said.

“No, that is a good idea.” I said as I put up the paperwork that was all done and grabbed a map.

“I’m sorry that I was rude when you walked in I had to finish my father’s work not a lot of my fathers allies wanted to be allies sense my pack died so I had to catch up.” they just nodded and I continued, “This is a map of my land and blue is your packs territory line and the red line is the rouges territory you can use this map ill make copies for you to use only for protecting your pack here and here only.” I told them.

“Yes, thank you Amira that would be helpful also the kings wanted to have a meeting about what’s best for the pack members here.” Brad said.

“Fine  but only of that issue nothing else I just want your people to feel safe after all that’s what I would have taught my beta and third.” I said as I handed them a few maps.

“This meeting is over you may leave.” I told them.

“Thank you ill let the alpha’s know what you told me.
