Katerina's POV
"I am going on a trip, Alejandro." I answered him when he came home from work and saw me packing some things in my luggage.
"For how many days? Where is it and who's going with you?" He asked, sitting on the bed, the tie he was removing now forgotten.
A week had passed since we were ambushed and I have been nothing but a mess. I find myself spacing out often, unable to focus in class. I shamefully made some mistakes. I couldn't get what Alejandro did and what it made me feel out of my mind.
And so Tina advised me to take a solo trip to clear my mind, and maybe visit my family as well. It has been a while since I last saw them.
I stopped and heaved a sigh. "I need some time alone, Alejandro. I need some space. I need to unwind."
