"Mel, do you want to learn basic self-defense? You will always be guarded and protected by my men, but maybe you want to learn it. You can also learn how to use a gun if you want." Alejandro offered me one day while we were having breakfast.
I thought about it for a minute and did not see anything wrong with it. It's a skill I can use to defend myself. Maybe I can even use it against him.
"Why not?" I responded with a shrug and he nodded in satisfaction.
"You finish work around 5 pm, right? I'll pick you up then. I'll take you to the gym."
"Why not in the basement?" I asked, referring to his house's underground basement. A whole building built with multiple rooms.
Maybe it's my chance to investigate further.
