LUCA’S POV

I watch as she runs further into the woods and my joints pain as I use all of my strength to push of the ground , using every last drop of energy to get to her .
To catch her .
To stop her from running away from me .
I glance over my shoulder , seeing the darkness sweep the forest away . I need to get to her .
I need to save her .
I try to tell her to run , but a growl escapes me and I can’t mind link with her .
We haven’t mated yet .
But as soon as I have her , I will .
There’s a light on the other side of her , an eye burning spotlight shining into my eyes . I squint them , trying to focus on her figure running into the light .
As soon as she’s out of sight , my legs give in and I’m swept into the darkness , falling .
I jolt upright , sweat covering my skin all
