“No, stay! Don't leave now, I want you to stay with me.”
Dante’s words made my breath hitch. I swallowed the lump that formed slightly in my throat. His tone was measured, it was soft, and he was sure.
He nodded slightly at me. His vulnerability touched something inside. My stomach fluttered.
